Is the function of a rear shock tower brace only to keep the two towers from moving towards or away from each other (a change to positive or negative camber ? Or is the purpose to try to stabilize them in other directions ?
I've seen a few braces and most of them have a fairly heavy duty "L" shape at the tower and box beam. But, they only seem to bolt on at the shock top so I wonder if they cna do anything except prevent the towers move in or out... in which case I wonder if a simplepiece of angle iron with a hole drilled in each end would have as much effect. Also, since they bolt on top of the shock rubber I wonder if they can really stabilize anything at all ?
