Aftermarket TurboXS BOV wont release boost Posted by Chadwick [Email] (#569) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Chadwick) on Sat, 17 Jun 2006 19:26:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just picked up a TurboXS type H RFL blow off valve for my 94 9000 Aero. I JB welded the flange over the factory bpv flange, installed the valve, and then hooked up the vac hose from the stock BPV to the blow off valve. I started testing with 0 packer washers installed... between shifts and under boost the valve would not open and I could hear the turbo flutter. I tried adding two packer washers, no luck.... (Dont those make the spring stiffer, anyway?)
I then took apart the valve, lubed the piston, then re-installed with same results. I'm out of ideas on what to try. I'm thinking I should just go back to the OEM Bosh BPV and not worry about.
Thoughts?
TIA,
Chadwick
