HI Saab enthusiasts,

The Saab is unofficially stored and although I am still deciding on exactly what mods to perform on the car a couple of things are for sure: It is getting 17s (a spoke design), vented rotors, and painted calipers.

Speaking more specifically of the latter, should I go ahead with the 9000 caliper/brake upgrade?

The '91 SPG brakes great!! So why the possible switch? For one it will brake better and secondly I have read that the brake pads are 33% larger, wouldn't this have to imply that the actual caliper itself is 33% larger?

Because of the rims I will be using the front caliper will be much more pronounced lending a more racy look... Plus I can powder coat them now making the installation that much more smoothly this spring.

I am under the assumption that the rear calipers are identitical?

Are there any 9000 models/years in particular that have better calipers/brakes?
