I did this on my ng900 2.0 motor and it did help it rev faster and the car did seem to go better, it had slightly more vibration at idle, it is about the same as a auto in drive at a stand-still. Your Saab Master tech is right, Saab did put them in there for a reason and the reason is vibration levels at idle. It was made for Grandma who wants the motor to be as vibration free as possible, does not hurt performance, it helps performance as the rotating mass has been reduced and the inertia energy to spin the motor up has been reduced. My girl could not or did not even notice it in my ng900. I say go for it and you will like it, especially in a race car where slight vibration comes second to power of a quick reving engine. This is only noticable at idle, once you start to go, you never can feel the difference, Good Luck, John
