I did not see other replies on the above, so I will give it a shot!
Have you measured your manifold pressure at idle and also watch what it does as you apply throttle? Not quite sure what you did here with your conversion, but I think you are not running any neg manifold pressure at idle.
I think the check valve on the wastegate line is a mistake or should be a dawes device. Or nothing at all -- I would ditch the check valve.
So, you got the distributor fixed then? No ignition amp replacement? Bon voyage!!!
