42mm is not good either. same issues as mentioned before.
he is what you need.
you can go with 17x7 or even 18x7 or 18x7.5. (do not do 17x7.5)
I have sold and drove on these sizes for over 5 years. no rubbing issues as long as you do the following: A). 17x7, 40-35mm offset with tire size 215 40 17. B)18x7 (35-40mm)offset or 18x7.5 (40mm-38mm offset) with 215 35 18. these specs will guarantee no rubbing and true speedometer readings. I personally have ran 18x7.5 on my spg and 17x7 on my convertible, both are extremely lowered with jamex / lesjefors springs, approx 2", i have driving the spg every where and took it on every street rally where the car were airborne a few times, i have had 4 passengers and have used the car as a pick up truck to move merchandise to SAAB conventions and to warehouse and never had any rubbing issues. the only thing you might have to do is remove or relocate the screws and clips that hold the spg fender flares. those clips stick out too much and my in some cases touch your tires. i usually eliminate the ones that touch the tire and use good poly silicone glue to secure the flares.
if you need more info you can email me.
