Hello everyone...
I just had to mention that H&r makes a set of true hubcentric 8mm spacers for a 4x108 bolt pattern, and i know they work because i have a pair. I think they are $80 a pair online, i got mine from http://www.genuinesaab.com
The only thing is you have to get longer lug bolts. I don't know the exact measurments of the bolts i got, but they are about a 1/4 inch longer than the stock bolts I had. These worked fine for the wheels i was using, moving them away from the rear control arms in the back, and out towards the fender, yet did not rub them on my fenders.
Just thought i'd remind everyone that 5mm and 10mm arent the only options.
In the future, Dave kennedy plans to make a 4x108 to new style saab 5 lug pattern "hub exchanger"... which will bolt into your exisitng hub and have 5 studs coming out for use with a newer style saab wheel. Not sure how much thickness this would add to the setup, but i believe the 4 inner bolts would be flush with the surface of the adapter, to help reduce thickness...
...OH the possibilities if / when it's available!
