hey snipes...
Yeah, I'd like to leave the wideband in...for datalogging all the time... but since the Zt-2 wideband controller will simulate the narrow band output to the stock ecu...i was HOPING to just put the wideband o2 sensor in the stock bung, wire the wideband controller unit to the ecu stock o2 sensor wire, hook up the af gauge, and call it a day......
but now, since the EGT probe of this system, or TIT as you say... will only sense up to 1200 degrees, i think it's pointless to buy this system as a datalogger. They sell an EGT retrofit kit, that will allow you to use your own egt, however i'm not sure if the controller unit will display anything over 1200, will need to check.
i don't mind having to put in a second bung, it just adds another step i wasn't planning on doing, but if the wideband needs much cooler exhaust temps...say around 800-900 NO HIGHER... then will putting the second bung 16 inches away from our turbo even MATTER if the temps going INTO the turbo are 1400-1500?
who has a wideband on their saab all the time that could comment?
thanks
-gavin
