for some odd reason, the post with my photos dissapeared...

here is take two, which now includes the FRONT AND REAR.

See the "metacote" coating on the rotors? I bet they will look nice for a long time in my open spoke style wheels...

I highly recommend these to anyone with open spoke wheels, who wants slotted rotors instead of cross drilled.

I superimposed the rear side of the front rotor so you can see that these were obviously completely submerged in this "metacote" material, before being cured at around 580 degrees for it to harden.

Wether or not the metacote will burn off the friction surface doesn't matter to me, as the rest of the parts of the rotor will not rust.

furthermore, if the friction surface burns off, the grooved section in the disc will retain the lighter silver color, and you will see the star groove pattern stand out in the disc. it should look great either way.

i'll keep everyone informed on their performance and their wear, but arron gilbert has used these in the past and also recommends them. do a search.
