You are right about stock sw, but I am not sure what happens if the timing is re-mapped like mine is. We went up in 3 degree increments until it quite making more power. What I am not sure of is if it will retard timing
if knock is detected. I get the feeling it does not once its re-mapped, but I am not sure.
I did get to test it with sw with no timing changes and it worked great. I was making around 28-30psi in the winter with gt3071 with w/m injection. I ran out one day and sure as crap, my boost dropped to about 20-22psi all of a sudden and would not come back. I found out I had run out of w/m in my bottle and the trionic worked great to dump boost and keep the motor safe.
So, for stock trionic sw with no timing changes in the ecu, it works great with w/m and will reduce timing and boost if the fluid runs out.
I need to find out what happens with a ecu that has the timing re-mapped,
