don't remove the plastic trim covers, the plastic tabs are easy to break, then you will have to buy a fairly expensive replacement plus have it painted. What I do is to use a low profile floor jack, slip it under the side skirt, then place an extension block (about 4-5 inches tall) in place of the normal rubber pad, and lift with that at the standard jack point. I use the same extension pad to lift the front at the center point, that way I can get the front about 22-24 inches high before I slip jackstands in at the side points. That gives enough room to work comfortably underneath the engine...
