the low profile jack ("AP" brand, about 2.5 inches) has a 3" round rubber pad at it's lift point. The extension is just a cylindrical piece of high density plastic that is 4 inches high and fits in place of the rubber pad to increase the lifting range. It's sold as an accessory by AP. The side skirt is too low to slide the jack plus extension underneath, so I slide it in minus the extension, then once it is clear of the skirt place the extension on it and start lifting. There are lots of inexpensive low profile floor jacks out there...
