Is there a "known" problem with the saabs std gearbox oil? or where does the need come from to choose something else?
I do understand that if you do alot of track driving the need can arrouse for both cooling and oil type, but if use is normal I really dont see any point.

In my 500whp daily driver ;) I use saabs std oil, gearbox is original from year 2000 and currently has 193k km on it, out of which 150k km with 500Nm+, last 50k km with 600+Nm. Number of WOT runs are caluculated in thousands what the box has seen and still works just as good as a new one does. Oil has been swapped once every 50k km.
