I think the question was about a mechanical versus electrically driven guage. There are analog face electronic oil pressure guages. Regardless, I echo the thought that your guage should have an analog face and a needle indicator, not just a numerical value.
There isn't necessarily any more accurace in an electric guage than a mechanical one either, especially for the pressures you're concerned about.
Many people do not like the idea of running a pressurized oil line into their driver's compartment, thus go for electrically driven guages with a remote sending unit - but mechanical guages will be cheaper.
If you do decide to get a mechanical guage (we have had great luck with them here at the shop) do NOT use the nylon line that comes with the cheaper guages, they tend to get brittle and can crack with heat and age. Buy a coil of copper tubing the same size to replace the nylon stuff and run that instead, you shouldn't ever have any reliability issues. Just make sure to have enough of a strain relief loop near the oil port that the tubing doesn't fatigue from the engine moving around on it's mounts.
Best,
Drew
