Most of the eary applications had simple way to upgrade to a turbo model.
The difference on these models was typically compression ratio based on piston. The camshafts for turbo and non turbo(for the 8V engine) were the same and, only the APC boost control systems took effect. The APC allowed a 10+ psi charging pressure while retaining full detonation safety.
We have had many customers opting to change non-turbo to turbo and, many have done this via a manual boost controller.
If attepting to run a higher charging pressure (over 1
0 psi), many customers have opted to install an APC system to provide protection against detonation.
We have 8V customers reaching 20+ psi which may require a ca
Camshaft reprofile to turbocharged parameters, APC S4, plus fuel support.
