do the complete swap Posted by Saabu [Email] (#1133) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabu) on Sun, 4 Nov 2012 05:16:42 In Reply to: 85 NA Turbo conversion, Ekafant, Wed, 17 Oct 2012 17:03:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
it might be easier to do a complete swap of motor, wiring harnesses, exhaust system, dash complete.
i did one when converting a 16v NA to turbo. the dash and wiring harnesses are easy to swap out.
what was the mileage on the 8vt motor? even tho your 8v NA is low mileage, turboing it exposes it to an increased load. the motors simply are not the same build quality as a turbo engine.
Plus, not to take away from the excellent guys here offering their services, but perhaps you can do the equipment swap yourself? its fun!!!
