1992 Saab Keeps Cutting Out (Stalling)- Everyone Please Help Posted by Don [Email] (#1099) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Don) on Sun, 26 Nov 2000 17:00:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I own a 1992 900-S Saab. During the past year of it's 9-year life it's been freuqently cutting out. It's only got 75,000 miles so it's only halfway through it's 150,000-175,000 life. There isn'r really a pattern, it just stalls and I have to pull over and restart. Sometimes it takes a munute for it to come back, other times a half hour. I've tried to figure out the problem, the shop can't. They just fixed everything they could think of (3 pages long of repairs) and it still isn't working. I need a car to depend on and I can't with it cutting out. I'm taking it to be looked at once more and ANY suggestions I could give them would be helpful. I'd rather spend a few hundred more dollers and have it fixed then buy a new car. When it runs, it runs beautifully, but every week or so it cuts out. They think there might be a problem with the Alternator (Not Enough Voltage) or Distributor. Anybody have this problem? Help me out fast. Any suggestions are good enough. Thanks.
