symetrical ports there are 2 diferent 2.3 heads that I know of one has strange ports I think its a later design the other looks like the 2.1 head to me & would work best with the 2.1 intake
I have come to the conclusion that getting better flow is the idea that produces the most HP with better flow you need to run less boost to make more HP I have a stock 89 engine tuned pretty well I had it up to 25 lbs boost tapering down to 22 at revlimit
I turned my car down to what I think is safer boost 22 peak to about 17 at the revlimit although I have a transducer bypass switch wired it to get more boost if I want to run a butload of alcahaul in the gas
I know Im taking a while to get to the point which it that if I were building an engine now Id use the 2.1 NA intake & head & at least intake cam
running about 8:1 comp & I love my T3/60 I would take advantage more of CFM flow instead of packing boost to try to make up for the lack of it the only thing about this is that the boost will come on later in the rpm rangealso that tiure shreading torque surge is reduced which helps your trans one will need to have fuel available there to match higher airflows at higher rpms I like my volvo ecu & amm for this purpose although revlimit remains the same
take care
JAK
