Well to he honest the first two steering rack clamps did not work. In my haste to build the darn thing I forget if made a spacer for the rear then I would have to add length on the orginal clamp.
Design 1 didn't have the space behind the unit.
Design 2 had the space but then it was unable to attach due to the space being longer then the bolt and screw.
Design 3 will take into account the first two flaws and be ready for trail on Monday! It should be interesting to see how this thing works.
Now I sent off specs for the lower sub frame brace to me made. Personally I like the looks of the subframe brace that is currently being built. It's slick looking!
questions about looks. Would someone buy a zinc finish over a stainless steal if it cost less? or whould they prefere to paint the unit themselves like the SAS rear sway bars?
