I currently am using c900t with LH 2.4 as a test bed for experimenting on different fuel system options. I once ran 30 lb/hr injectors and RRFPR but have decided to remove them in exchange for a fixed (1:1) but adjustable FPR (better for calibrating) and 30 lb/hr injectors. Now, I know that the popular choice is the 30's, but I am getting similar performance with 24's and roughly 3.1 bar fuel pressure at idle. Right now I run a potentiometer in my dash which allows me to adjust amm impedence, and fine tuning has proven to work wonders with this mod. Couldnt imagine doing it under the hood with different resistors. Anyway, Just as I thought, every time I would bump up fuel pressure, I would have to compensate with increasing the impedence on the AMM. Likewise with the 30's as I have tested both. What I'm getting at is that I have reached a sort of parabolic maximum where performance is optimized whether using large injectors and moderate pressure or smaller injectors and higher pressure. I actually like the 24's better as they help promote better idle stability, but thats just a matter of opinion. Guess it's just the engineer in me. I am a little confused because I'd like to push more power out of this engine, but am having a hard time finding it. Whether I use 24's or 30's, once i am into the boost (say 15+ PSI), the engine will not function correctly without adding amm impedence(it stumbles terribly). I've calibrated cars before, but this situation kind of strikes me as odd. The engine is surely capable of 275+ HP provided I can deliver the fuel, but I'm looking for advice from someone like Brad or Kevin or anyone else with a good engineering/technical background, who can help me sort out how to make an engine I have invested 15k into a performer like it should be. The car is already a performer. Just trying to optimize the package. Thanks
