This is a common problem for the 6-speeds. Usually it is unnoticable until really cold weather sets in. Basically, they couldn't use the right size spacers because of the extra gear, so there is some bumping issues until the tranny warms up. I believe there was a software upgrade which helped somewhat with the problem. There has also been talk of having the cables adjusted internally to help with the problem. No solution has been found, just ways to ease the problem.
The 6-speed is manufactured in Japan as opposed to the 5-speed which is made in Sweden. So much for Japanese technology, eh? I suggest either waiting for a solution (which may be a replacement tranny come 2005) or hound Saab to switch out your 6-speed with a 5-speed. Its really a no win situation until they fix the problem.
