Testing the TPS (throttle position sensor)?

Hi All,
I'm hoping to test out my throttle position sensor to help diagnose a lean full throttle situation. My car is an '87 9kT, LH2.2, with 280k. I understand that the switch has three settings: idle, part throttle, and (more-or-less) full throttle. The switch has three pins. Does anyone know which pins to test to make sure it is engauging idle and full-throttle positions?
Thanks!
Craig
