Very true, CFM measurements based on core size are going to be a best guess scenario when you consider the differences in bar and fin size. As far as cooling goes, the stock intercooler seems like it would better, because it has more surface area. Ultimately a very flat and thin intercooler would be the best for cooling, but it would hurt flow. The 9000 intercooler barely have more flow than the c900, but they certainly have more cooling surface area. Using the math can help you decide what intercoolers are worth trying, but ultimately it's comes down to before and after with boost, temp and hp.
