AHHHHH! ! ! Soon GM will come to it's senses. We all know what SAABS
are. We all know what Subaru's are. Both car companies have some good
designs and technology. GM owns both (large percentage of Subaru).
Assuming that the same logic of the Aztec WILL NOT be applied, GM is
planning on merging Subaru's 4wd technology in SAAB as well as other
GM models. The next generation SAAB 9-3 and 9-5 are going to be based
on GM's Epsilon platform which allows for fwd, 4wd, and rwd. This
platform is a "world car global" design and will be applied to the
American merket as well as the European, and Aisan markets. This platform
is going to (unfortunately) be shared with the next generation Saturn LS,
Chevy Malibu, Opel Vectra, and Pontiac Grand Am. I hope that someone is GM
will FIRE the person(s) who developed the Aztec and come to their senses
to be competive and even set a benchmark like BMW and Audi with a SAAB product. I have my doubts though, sorry. Maybe my next car will be a twin turbo Audi A6 with a 6-speed...
