The 2.3 head has more volume to keep the compression ratio the same with the longer stroke crankshaft. If you use it on your 2.0 block and crank, your compression ratio will go down by the amount I posted in my first response.
Multiply the CR from the 2.3 engine by about .9 to get your new compression ratio if the same head is used on the shorter stroke engine.
