Last week, I'm on my way home from work on a 2-lane road where the speed limit is posted at 55. There is someone making a right hand turn 2 cars in front of me, but the way it is situated the driver really needs to slow down to make the turn (15-20). It is a passing zone so I decide to let the Saab stretch it's legs. I accelerate to about 70, pass and start to slow down (just a little fun, that's all). Wouldn't you know it, coming around the bend in the other direction is a cop. He pulls a u-turn, and pulls me over. I explain the situation, but he says he clocked me at 69 in a 55; too fast for this road, you know, the usual speel. Why do radar detectors have to be illegal in VA???

What a perfect ending to a perfectly crummy day!
Now, I am trying to behave myself more and I think I drive better at slightly higher speeds. Anyone else have any comments on this? I find myself paying more attention to what's going on around me rather than in front of me!!!
