At $5 to $6 per gallon, it wouldn't be economical to run toluene every day, but if you were going to the track it would make sense.
How much you run depends on what octane number you are trying to reach. I believe the (R+M)/2 of toluene is 114. As I mentioned in another thread, octane number does not blend linearly, but you could use a linear blending calculation as a first estimate.
These days, commercial gasoline doesn't have as high an aromatic (benzene, toluene, xylene) content as it used to, so you would still be safe running a couple gallons of toluene in a full tank.
I'd put the toluene in an empty tank, then fill up to get good mixing.
