Eric, if it is only at the driver's floor than it is very easy to cut this out and weld in a new panel.

Some will reccommend ovelap seams for strength, yet you have to treat the inner crevices.. I like butt welds, yet that is me. I am careful with the heat.

The problems are the sill plates, yet if the corrosion is restricted to the driver's side floor, any professional body shop can lift the car, cut and place in the panel. Make sure the panel is corrugated.

You can also cut the area out with a electric saw, and have it duplicated. Pay special attention to the brake line depression. The duplicate piece should have the same special depression or else your line will sit on top. and stand on top and can brake. It occurred with a good friend of mine on his Sonett who posts here as well.

I would imagine close to 400- 700.00 dollars for a job like that. The second possible problem is the shop applying too much heat in the area, resulting in a warp floor. If that occurs then you have to bring the big mallet out.
