Transmission oil drain plug Posted by NCCaniac [Email] (#352) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCCaniac) on Sun, 15 May 2011 19:47:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
OK, so I got the oil and filter changed in my Sonett III, but I'm still fighting the transmission oil drain plug. I tried the suggestion here to get a 10mm socket and grind a v-groove into it. But when I get it on my socket wrench and into the inner portion of the plug, even with good upward pressure with my other hand on the back of the wrench, the grooved socket keeps slipping out before the plug will budge. Is there another trick to this task or a better tool to use?
