I have sonett #373 and #410, each needing a radiator cap. The neck on the expansion tube measures 1 1/2 inch from the base to the top without the cap. The pressure caps listed in the catalogs for Stant and Gates (meaning also NAPA, Carquest and GM) are wrong. They list a part with a plunger only 1 5/32 inch, which will not seal and, thus, allow overheating. The following part numbers do NOT work.

703-1410 10205 33022 850798 1 15/32" 4#
703-1412 10208 31524 1 5/32" 4#
703-1411 1 15/32" 7#
10308 31505 1 5/32" 4#

The original part number is Saab 7803463, but I can't find any available.

I'll keep you updated with a solution when I find one. Meanwhile, this might be why you are overheating.
