I recall doing an MSS valvetrain upgrade and installing a F66(?) cam and 2-bbl from Ashcraft and it being fairly easy. I was 18 and it went along pretty simply. Just take the front off and remove the radiator. With any sort of modified cam, I imagine one would want to do the hollow lifters and improved valvesprings. Then while you're at it, you may as well shave the heads and do a valve job.
Find some spare heads, rework them and get everything ready. The swap should just take a weekend.
Good luck,
Chris
