variations in tire dimensions depending on brand and model. I have also noticed that section width is greater than tread width, thus rim width will change section width to some degree. I just thought to check with W.Wheel and see if they could put 96 centers in 900 5 1/2 rims. Are you running original springs? It seems that most Sonetts have sagged a bit in the rear and I have been told that 96 springs will raise and firm up the rear. I also wonder if 96 springs are dif. for front.I believe all suspension components are common to 96 and 97, so shocks would be. Do you have a source for the Spax and any idea of costs? I have been generally unsatisfied by KYB on 99 and 900, thus hesitate to put them on the Sonett. I hope to give it a try in autocross this spring. I was planning on using Yoko AVS Intermediates - they are still available in 195/60, but no longer in 185/65. How does offset of the 6" rims seem in rear? Could a bit more/less offset help the rub problem? I would like to have a wheel set-up I could use on Sonett or 96. I know that Jack Ashcraft uses a whell for front on 96 with more offset than rear. Are you near Portland?
