The outer CV boots on my 1972 Sonett III are cracked and need replaced. The CV joints are OK, no noise and are not loose or damaged. I want to keep them that way and get them grease packed before summer driving. How big of a job is this for a weekend mechanic? I know that the CV joints are pressed on somehow and need to come off so that the new boot may fit on to the drive shaft. What special tools and skills are needed to do the job?
