Correct. Taking your fuel pump to a specialty shop, you may be able to find a blockoff plate to match. I made my own, not real hard, 1/4" steel or aluminum (easier to work depending on tools available) is preferable, 1/8" adequate if you make real sure the mating surface to the block is nice and flat (rub it on sandpaper on a flat surface) and don't tighten the bolts enough to distort it. Alternately you can just remount the fuel pump without the pushrod but that's not as sanitary.
