...I have two hoods. If there is a problem I can cut one and mod it a bit so it will fit, eventually. From what I have measured, the problem is more the air cleaner than the carb. (I measured twice, but hey, I can screw up too). My motor mounts are old and may have settled, so I might be in for a surprise if I change them. I read one website that said the problem is the automatic choke. He switched to manual choke. I like auto choke. That means I may have to do things the hard way.
How's about we trade cars Patquin? You can save me all these problems whilest giving yourself a new and exciting project!
Seriously, I want to get the new manifold on and working. Then I can get back to work on the injection system. I want to use the new 2bbl manifold as it has better air flow. I do not however want to waste money on a new carb that will eventually be placed in the tool bin, unless I can get it for 30 bucks. The only carb that meets that criterion seems to be a Weber 36/32. I am unsure as to which letter designation has the automatic choke, and I am unsure as which specific 36/32 fits, as there seem to be several variations with different numbers after the name and letters.
