forget about the Solex and buy yourself a Weber DGV32/36. No offence to anyone operating a Solex but DGV's are plenty for sale on Ebay and you don't have the trouble of finding spare parts or service kits. Here in Europe these kits for the Solexes are also more and more made of unobtanium. When I bought my Sonett it already had a DGV32/36-5 on; this is the manual choke version. I bought another 32/36 for pretty cheap once that had a automatic choke and some extra vacuum operated thingy on the lefthand side of the carb, opposite the accellerator pump. There is a horse-shoe shaped rubber hose running from the secundary throat to the screwed on lid of that vacuum device that gets in the way of PCV-valve, but it can be overcome if you tamper with the PCV valve angle (MH, if you read this please add your link to how you solved this). The autochoke on the DGV's is on the right-hand side and is not in the way. With a low profile K&N air filter you don't have clearance problems.
