- 1993 Saab 900 Turbo CE (Posted 1/19/2017)
Color: Black Trans: Manual Mileage: 203,900 Price: $2700 BRO
It's difficult but need to part with my 1993 900 CE, #299. I have too many Saabs and do not want to invest time, money, or spousal grief getting this car back on the road. I have invested much money in engine and transmission, and have considered transplanting both into my 1991 900 SE Monte Carlo Conv. but I'm happy with the auto transmission and power. This car regularly took me between Virginia and New England in rain, snow and whatever else Nature had in mind. Biggest issue is undercarriage rust. Made some fixes but existing rust makes car unregisterable in my state. Other issues as I know them: drive door needs to be re-hung for proper fit; hood is replacement, not same color, and needs to be adjusted for smooth fit; minor dings, scratches and front passenger interior door panel needs to be replaced/repaired due to some gouges at window. Car has been off road under tarp for several years but when I start it and drive it off tire stands, it fires up and drives no problem. Like to see it go to a Saab enthusiast. Thanks

- 1992 Saab 900 4-Door Sedan (Posted 12/19/2016)
Color: Green Trans: Manual Mileage: 61,500 Price: $7,200
This is the outstanding deep medium green that Saab used in 1992, with a perfect light tan cloth interior, plus an excellent five-speed transmission. This car is very much like owning a new car and it has been maintained with great care and driven very carefully. I am putting my pride and joy up for sale and I hope that there will be another lifelong Saab owner who this will appeal to. If you have never owned one of what we now call a "900 Classic", this might be your last opportunity to own one that is about as close to new as you could get. If you cannot afford the price that I have listed, I encourage you to write and let's talk. I would like this to go to someone who will enjoy it for what it is, much as I do. I bought this 1992 900 four-door sedan in West Virginia in 2008 and it had 55,000 miles on the odometer at that time. I have the Carfax report, also, and I am the third owner. Originally purchased from a dealer in Lancaster PA, this car was purchased by a man in WV for his wife to drive. She had only a mile or so to get to work and within a couple of years, she apparently decided that she wanted a Prius HEV to be "green", and that's where I came into the picture. The owner had replaced the clutch when he bought it from the original owner, at 45,000 miles (!), and he was meticulous in the care he put into the car. On the day that I arrived to pick it up, he had had another $450.00 in work done to make sure that everything was just right -- and there are not many people who would do that, when he already had my full payment. I have driven the car only in weather after the winter is long gone and before any snow and salt arrives, so summer only. The previous owner had also not le this wife drive winter (again, (!)), so this car has not seen snow since 2006, if not before There is no visible rust and there have been no accidents. Massachusetts state inspection (mechanical, environmental) completed on December 12, 2016. Passed with flying colors. I replaced tires and all four are Michelin MXVs in perfect condition; I would estimate 80% tread left. I also have had both the master and slave clutch cylinders replaced in 2016, and a heavy deep-draw battery installed in November 2015. I have all of my own maintenance records and some from the previous owner. There is one tiny ding about the driver's side rear taillight, where someone must have backed into something in the garage; it is not visible unless you examine the area carefully to find it. There is a dent on the underside of the driver's door, but no rust. The roof is showing the white bleaching that this color was known for and you may choose in some later year to have the roof (only) repainted. That is the only exterior blemish. Everything works, although the a/c needs either recharging or a component replacement, so typical of these. The radio power mast has decided to quit working last month, and those are $26.00 brand-new on Ebay. The ceiling liner is in perfect condition; the dash has the usual 900 cracks, but I have a new replacement molded cover inserted so it looks fine. All of the controls, heater, blower, turn signals, etc., all work fine. This car is a pleasure to drive and the five-speed is especially good for acceleration in second and third gears; I have gotten as much as 33 MPG in all-highway driving on long trips! This is like driving a new car. No squeaks, no shudders, no flapping or loose exhaust parts. It is a solid car and I cannot tell you how many people have commented on just the sound of the doors closing! The very solid "thunk" is very obvious, when compared to new cars that are built today. It is a Saab. I have owned twelve Saabs and this is by far the most like a new one that I have ever owned. I also have a 1993 900S and a 2005 9-5 wagon, my first "new gen" car. I am inundated with furniture after cleaning out my parents' house, in addition to furniture leftover from my own divorce, and I am forced to make some decisions to reduce the sheer volume of posessions that I have in my house. - 1988 Saab 900 SPG Turbo (Posted 12/10/2016)
Color: Edwardian Grey Trans: Manual Mileage: 212,000 Price: $4000
This car has been loved and well cared for (nearly all repair receipts included from both myself and previous owner back as far as 1998). Top of the line in '88 with leather, power moonroof, power locks + windows, heated seats, etc. CD player replaced with upgraded bose unit, subwoofer and speakers in 2011, everything else vintage Saab. Was an everyday car until earlier this year. Hoping some other Saab lover will see the potential in this car so that it might continue to grace the roads. The car is aesthetically sound with original dash + upholstery in good condition. Garaged for 9 of the 15 years I've owned it, the outside looks better than its age (some rust on the bottom inside of drivers' door and the clear coat is beginning to fail on the hood leading edge). Mechanically, the car is sound but has a few issues: We believe the fuel pump to be failing as it doesn't reliably start on an incline these days, and the a/c is unreliable.

Was my daily driver on 100+km/day commute for almost 6 years, took it off the road to preserve it. Transmission replaced with used rebuilt one last year. Very clean all original driver condition car that I have thoroughly enjoyed cruising around town w my girl - really turns heads and garners compliments! I have installed a custom simons cat back exhaust, new cat, restored turbo front spoiler, fog lights (need to be wired in), custom fender flares, new Dunlop sport rubber. Minor spot rust on front fenders (covered by flares)and very minor surface rust in spots but not a rotted out car for sure. AC only holds Freon for 1 season. You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner flat nose sedan on the market imho. Car needs to go for next project (maybe a lancia?)....thanks for looking!

Extremely well maintained and owned by a Saab family. Power sunroof, power windows, air conditioning, leather interior, brand new all season tires less than 1k ago. The car has been serviced by a local saab specialty shop with all service records. Just had castrol synthetic oil change done. Everything works except cruise control. There are no leaks or servicing needed. The car runs great with no issues. The transmission was rebuilt about 10k ago that included new synchros, bearings, flywheel and clutch. Front and rear brakes were done about 6k ago. The car has always been garage kept and has never been smoked in. The car has no rust (always been a Colorado car) and has never been in an accident. Oil has been changed every 3k miles with synthetic. We have owned for 13 years. I do have all of the original books and manuals and even the original window sticker. I do have many extra parts that are included. The stereo has been upgraded to a Bluetooth CD player (original radio included). The car comes with both winter (rubber) mats and summer (carpet) mats.

- 1985 Saab 900 (Posted 10/10/2016) SOLD
Color: Blue Trans: Manual Mileage: 32,500 Price: $4,450
All-original, incredibly low-mileage survivor always in the Mid-Atlantic region. Very clean, no rust, always serviced. As new except for recent replacement radio and tires. Many good things and only a short list of less good: 8v engine is spirited and smooth. Transmission shifts as new in all gears. Blue paint is nice. Exterior trims are clean. Interior is sharp - blue/grey cloth, headliner and carpets very good. Everything works - A/C, Heat, gages, lights, seats, windows, etc. Original tool kit still in trunk. Spare tire has never seen the road. Original manuals and keys. Showing slight wear on original steel wheels, a few dash cracks as expected (under a custom carpet cover), trim on dash is beginning to peel, slight fading on drivers window sill, slight aging on front grille and badges. None of these detract and are easily updated. Just had a complete inspection by a vintage Saab specialist - only needed a new alternator and minor brake adjustment. Passed Virginia safety inspection thru September 2017. This is an amazing car. I have three other 900s and simply don't have proper storage for this one. Hope a true enthusiast will give it a proper home. More photos available in classified gallery:
- 1992 Saab Classic 900-Base Model (Posted 10/4/2016) SOLD
Color: Citron Beige Trans: Manual Mileage: 117,XXX Price: $1500
A California car now in Maine the last 2 years. This car mostly sat in California from the early 2000's until mid 2014. Extensive maintenance was done in 2013-14. Runs and drives as it should, cold AC, tires are good. Passed Maine safety inspections without a hiccup. Recently serviced areas include: starter, alternator, water pump, accumulator, radiator, clutch, brakes, axle boots and more. Upgrades: leather convertible steering wheel, Pioneer CD player, plush 9000 cloth front seats, 15 spoke alloy wheels, extra pair of alloys with new snow tires. The not quite perfect: SRS is off, some light wrinkles on the doors. It is currently registered in Maine. As an older Maine car it doesn't have a title. I'm listing this car for my older brother who is the registered owner. You can call me on my California cell phone. I'll keep some extra pictures on my cell phone that could be sent on request. Don't have email access right now, please call or text. See my Saabnet.com Site Member photo gallery for more photos:
- 1991 Saab 900 (Posted 10/2/2016) SOLD
Color: Grey Trans: Manual Mileage: 262,000 Price: $500
I have had this car since 1995 and am the 2nd owner. It used to be my reliable daily driver until recently and I have maintained it regularly. The good: it is a California car without any rust or body damage. The interior is in great shape for its age. It has many good parts that have become difficult to find such as a new brake accumulator and a functioning OEM fuel sender. The bad: it is not running, probably needs a new head gasket, and the paint is worn, especially the roof and hood. The registration is current until December. I don't have the time to fix it and already have too many other project cars. Hopefully somebody can take this project and save it for future generations.

Color: Grey Trans: Manual Mileage: 184k Price: $1000
Car with good bones. I've owned 2 model 96's (one of them a two-stroke), three 900S's and still have a Viggen. I want to give this car a chance with a SAAB person before trying other means of selling it. Front end corner was clipped as it was parked. Mishap exceeded blue book value. I bought it back from insurance company, replaced front bumper and headlight pod. Corner damage on hood remains, see picture. This resulted in "salvage title" in Maryland. Recent work includes new clutch and slave, new head gasket, new crank position sensor. New fuel pump. Engine runs well. Always did for the 14 years that I have had it. ABS light just came on although anti-lock appears to work fine. Some hood rust beginning along the flanks. Dash cracks abound, no head liner. Chain that operates accelerator for cruise control missing. AC very weak. No fluid leaks according to my driveway.

The car has been garaged for most of its life. The car shows sign of wear and tear, as expected with a 29 year old car. It runs well, and according to my mechanic, could go for another 100K miles. The top of the dashboard has cracks, and the headliner has tears and sun damage in the back. I have the paperwork for the lifetime of the car. The oil has been changed every 4000 miles since new. I also have an extra set of wheels with mounted snow tires that can be added to the sale for $200 more. It no longer has the stock stereo, though I do have 2 aftermarket stereos that can be used in the car. This has been a good car to me, and am sorry to see it go.
