1990 Saab 900 Turbo SPG (Posted 8/20/2014)
Color: Red Trans: Manual Mileage: 40,000 Price: $5,000
Please rescue my SPG. I am no longer worthy to own it. It was purchased from a retired school teacher (not kidding) with 20,000 miles around 2008 and it now has about 40,000 miles. It was always garaged until I moved to a new home back in 2011. I have not been driving it, but it had been running well. It now has a few dents and cracks on the dashboard, but it is in really good shape and almost everything is original. Come get it, clean it up, and enjoy.

1991 Saab 900 SPG Turbo (Posted 8/19/2014)
Color: Black Trans: Manual Mileage: 279,000 Price: $1500
Maintained and detailed as reliable daily driver since 2002. Mechanically tight, but the body needs attention. Unfortunately I don’t have the time or facilities to address rust in the rear wheel wells, which allows water in, or fix the left front fender, buckled when the car was nudged while parked. Rust also on the wheel arches, floor pan. While this car is still a blast to drive on dry days, it is ready to be a project or donor car. Prior to fender damage, this car regularly drew unsolicited compliments from strangers. If you’re handy with fiberglass and welder, this car has life in it. The SPG panels are in good condition, with some chipping to the black molding strips. Interior is in very good condition and includes a rare 3-spoke Momo steering wheel in very good condition, retrofitted from a pre-87. Front leather good, with only one hole at the driver’s seatbelt; rear leather excellent. Headliner is tight. Dash is good, but has small splits at the corners of the speaker and change tray, and the change tray is a bit warped. Windshield and new seal have about 30k local miles on them. Oil cooler lines were leaking and slated for replacement, so are currently disconnected with no impact on performance. Car burns very little oil, but shows some seeping a normal spots. A/C blows cold—serviced annually, repaired as needed. There are currently no ‘recommended services’ showing. Performance mods include airflow kit, APC box, APC solenoid mod, Hyperboost BPV, 2.8 FPR, blue injectors. Buyer will have choice of numerous spare and maintenance parts: headlights, new door seals, brake calipers, dash. Also available for additional $200: four Gislaved snows on SPG winter wheels. Photos and service records from ’02 available.

1990 Saab 900S 5 door turbo (Posted 7/28/2014) SOLD
Color: Talladega Trans: Manual Mileage: Price: $5000
Selling off one of the fleet. Can't afford the twelve car garage (nor do I want an airplane hangar in my yard)."Cinq" was rescued from the desert a few years ago. I spent thousands making it as close to new without paint and new interior. Almost everything mechanical has been redone or replaced in the process. All the mouldings and lamps have been replaced as well as new correct black bumper covers and extensions. Also installed new correct painted grille. Rear fog lamp works. I have not addressed the AC, but working AC can be figured into the sale if it is a priority. Car is completely rust free. Paint is original. Car has been in dry storage 18 plus months. I have installed old wheels with crap tires to keep new Continentals in good condition. I have put about 2000 miles on it since restoration work was completed.

Dash has no cracks. Paint has a few small weak spots, but there's no serious rust anywhere. Battery is dead, so it hasn't been started.

Gorgeous low mileage modern classic! Drives beautifully! 1985 Saab 900S (Posted 6/26/2014)
Color: White Trans: Manual Mileage: 300,000 Price: $4,500 OBO
1985 900S - California car w/300K- has power package/cruise control & a manual
sunroof. This '85 900s runs fantastic and handles amazingly well with the 205
tires, the addition of sway bars from a Turbo model and the Bilstein shocks on
all four corners. Over the years I have added many upgrades and maintained it as
good as a car can be cared for. . I have upgraded the car with the following
items over the last 15 years. Converted from A/T to M/T in 2010, Dash was
replaced in 2000 & is in great condition- has always had a dash-topper on it,
SAAB center console from dash to shifter, SAAB high mount third brake light in
rear window (did not start until 86 model year), Front & Rear sway bars from a
turbo model & Bilstein's at all 4 corners, in-dash single CD player w/iPod plug
in capability, Genuine SAAB Burgundy leather steering wheel, Genuine SAAB wooden
shift knob, 3 piece HRE 16" wheels. The engine was new 60K miles ago- (Valet
Auto- SAAB only repair/Tucson) and at that time I installed a custom header from
Motorsport in Jamestown, N.Y., a Catalytic Convertor & muffler for a Turbo model
with a K & N air filter. I then cut multiple 2" holes cut into air box, all of
this for an increased air flow from the front to the back and that made this
little 2.0L N/T go better than any other I have ever driver. I just rebuilt the
Transmission (Trinity European/ Huntington Beach). New rack & pinion- 20k miles
ago, installed 2 tires on front (205/55/16 Big-O Euro Tour) + alignment 2k miles
ago. I have been in the SAAB parts business since 1996 & I keep an inventory of
parts and have always done most of the work on the car myself. I have an excel
file that I can email to you with a current listing of all of the items I have
on hand today. Many of them are new Genuine SAAB, many more are well known O.E.
Brands and many more are used items from my original 85 N/T 900 that I parted
out. I kept many of the items I knew "might" fail or were suspect for being
discontinued by SAAB such as the fuel injector lines. All of these parts are to
go with the purchase of the car. Only as a reference point, the retail value of
my parts on hand is almost $8,000. There is a lot more to share so if you are
interested please call.

Color: Cherry Red Trans: Manual Mileage: 196,159 Price: $1600
I have for sale my 1983 900 8v Turbo with a 5 speed manual transmission. I bought this car in September 2013 with 191,766 miles, and have been using it as a daily driver. The mileage currently sits at 196,159 miles as of 06/20/2014. I have since replaced the shocks on all 4 points, as well as swapped out the sagging rear springs for overload springs. Other new parts installed include a new valve cover gasket, brake pads, driver seat base repair kit, Bosch ignition wires, brand new Kenwood stereo, 2x 4" Rockford fosgate speakers, radiator fan switch, Sylvania XtraVision headlights, original foglight brackets with Hella 550's etc. The car does have a sagging headliner and a couple of small tears in the rear seats. The dash has a couple of small cracks around the speaker grill area, but is generally in good shape. AC and power steering were disconnected by the previous owner, and I have opted to continue driving it as is. Parts included in sale: Saab 900 Turbo emblems (3M adhesive attached, ready to go on the hatch), Spare transmission, Original door rubber trim, 2x rear mudflaps, Extra speaker grills, Fuel sender, Spare louvre mounting hardware, 2 sets of original CIS fuel lines, Wheel arch trim, 82 degree thermostat, 2x brand new hatch shocks, New alternator bushings, 2x rain gutter end caps, Various seals, switches, 1981 to 1984 C900 Parts reference manual. Color: Black Trans: Manual Mileage: 248,469 Price: $2995
Very RARE Survivor. Daily Driver. Fresh PA Inspection and Emissions. The original Black Paint has some peeling clear coat on the trunk lid. The normal rust issues on the bottom of the doors exist but not too bad. The Beige leather interior is beautiful, the 3 previous owners were obviously non-smokers. The leather has held up exceptionally well. In fact, the rear seat looks like nobody has sat on it. The headliner was replaced and looks great. The 16 valve engine has 248,362 Original miles and runs strong and sounds great. Brand NEW Exhaust. The clutch must have been replaced previously because it feels good. Car will need radio. Overall, a very fun unique daily driver that is inspected and ready for summer. Please call Steve for a test drive.

1990 Saab 900 Turbo 3 Door (Posted 6/8/2014)
Color: White Trans: Manual Mileage: 176,000 Price: $3400
Need to sell a 1990 Saab 900 S 2 door Turbo 5 speed. AC works, very cold, electric windows and sunroof work perfectly, turbo spools perfectly, engine and transmission are in excellent condition, paint is a 8.5 out of 10 - maybe 2-3 small dings, headliner has been replaced, tires are ok, new oil change in March 2014, this is my daily driver, this car has had many parts replaced including the turbo, transmission, shocks, many service records, just tuned up with spark plugs regapped etc. I am told it was never involved in an accident. I can send more pics if needed. I have owned 5 Saabs. I am restoring a convertible 900 turbo and need to sell this one. The bad: One axle boot is busted. Paint on the bumpers is flaking. The usual crack on the dash. Paint on the left side of the hatch is weak where they buffed it too long in a certain spot. 3 inch rip on the drivers seat. Odometer quit working about 10,000 miles ago. Small oil leak.

1985 Saab 900 8V (Posted 6/8/2014)
Color: Azure Blue Trans: Manual Mileage: 204,060 Price: $850 OBO
I am the third owner of this Saab (since 1994) that sold new in Wyoming, transferred to Iowa, and finally Minnesota. A list of deficiencies is as follows: -Air conditioner not working. - Fan blower. - gas gauge. - radio. - headliner loose. - exhaust system in need of repair. It was driven two winters in MN. The better qualities include a complete brake job, last summer, clutch was replaced about 30,000 ago, starter rebuilt 3 or 4 years ago. Mechanically, the car is quite good in my opinion with the drive train being fairly tight for its age and virtually no rattles in the car. I have always changed the oil myself at 3-4,000 miles - it was just changed last week. The license tabs are good until May of 2015.

1985 Saab 900 Turbo (Posted 6/5/2014)
Color: Black Trans: Manual Mileage: 170,000 Price: $1000
This car drives well and the turbo pulls strong but it needs a new transmission.
If you have a transmission this car is worth the effort. It has a great interior
for its age. Third owner with extensive maintenance records from previous
owners. The good - Newer clutch (August 2013), new tires (February 2014), ready
to go. The could be better - Air conditioner is out and needs a new compressor.
I have a compressor it just needs to be installed and the coolant refilled. It
has been converted to R134a. The bad - Manual transmission needs to be replaced,
it is drivable but unclear for how long. It has declined rapidly. It pops out
of 2nd you can hold it in without issue. Reverse seizes up over when after about
100 feet. Send questions if you have them. Comes with some additional parts
including the air conditioner compressor and the original stereo and equalizer.
Reason for sale - need for a four door vehicle.

1985 Saab 900 Turbo SPG (Posted 6/3/2014)
Color: Black Trans: Manual Mileage: 255,000 Price: $5,500
I am the original owner of this car. I drove it off the lot in Heidelberg Germany in June 1985. This car is in outstanding shape. It has never been in a carwash having been hand washed and later claybarred for it's entire life. No one can believe that the brilliant paint is original. It has zero rust. It lived in Germany briefly till I was posted in San Francisco and then to Tennessee. It has been aggressively maintained by the same SCCA champ/eng/mech for the last 20+ years with extensive documentation. The list of replacement parts is far, far too long to list but include, rack, AC Comp, turbo, rotors, shocks, bottom end, windshield and headliner. It also has a stunning SaabStuff custom interior with piping, perfing and embroidery. Unfortunately, the drivers door lock was popped and repaired. A friend allowed the car to roll back slightly springing the door. USAA wrote it off and I had the very minor repair completed with absolutely no visible affect at all. It also comes with 5 perfect Ronal SPG wheels. With the mounted Michelins, it is absolutely the smoothest car I have ever driven. Period. It is a daily driver and when not used, has been stored in a humidity controlled garage. It is an Autobahn, Autostrada and Interstate cruiser. I will miss it, but it is time.

1986 Saab 900S 16v Notchback (Posted 6/1/2014) SOLD
Color: red Trans: Manual Mileage: 146,000 Price: $3000
Newborn baby is forcing the sale of my project! This is a very rare 1986 900s 2 door notchback. It is a 16v 5 speed with 146,000 miles. I have done the following to the car: Head gasket including all new Elring gaskets including oil tubes, new head bolts, head was cleaned and pressure tested by Gants Machine Shop, 82 degree thermostat, all new coolant hoses, new Bosch water pump and Continental belts. A complete clutch rebuild including new Sachs master & slave cylinders, new hose along with a new Sachs clutch disk. Entire new exhaust from head pipe back that includes a new Magnaflow catalectic converter and a Bosal turbo muffler and tailpipe setup and a new battery. The headliner was replaced with black fabric by the previous owner, it looks good and is not sagging anywhere. I did have to have Ron Smith Auto Body do some rust repairs, I bought a complete rust free 88 900 4 door that was wrecked in the front and had them cut the rear lower quarter panels out and a section of the driver’s side front fender lip and a section of the front passenger side floor board needed to be repaired. The rust repairs were all properly welded in and given a once over with filler to smooth out. The car does need a some more body and will need a paint job. The car starts and runs OK but still has some hesitation, I replaced the MAF and it improved but I think I have a vacuum leak. I would love to see this car go to a true enthusiast, I had planned on getting it repainted either stock red or a nice silver, putting 1987+ bumpers, lights and an SPG body kit on it and eventually a low pressure turbo setup to truly make it a rarity but at this point just need it out of my driveway as I know I’m not going to have time to finish now. Sold 100% as is, I have over $4000 in the car including what I paid for it and the parts car, head gasket job, body work etc etc. It also comes with a complete low mile head from the 88 parts car and other miscellaneous parts. Id like to get $3,000 out of it but am 100% open to serious offers. Thanks! Matt

The car has had many rare options put on by me. 4-spoke momo steering wheel, airflow covers, saab "shadow" rear louvre, inca wheels, momo wood shift knob. The car has many new parts including toyo touring tires, four new ball joints, four new kyb shocks, full custom made exhaust, all four wheel bearings replaced, new voltage regulator/interstate battery. All new jbl 3-way speakers, blaupunkt head unit. Four new Bosch fuel injectors and new fuel distributor. The car needs some work including: both front seat trampolines are bad, exhaust manifold has a small crack in it, the car tends to run a little rich and needs fine tuning on the fuel system. Valve adjustment was just done, car does not leak oil or coolant, small power steering line leak. Transmission and clutch are in perfect shape. Interior is In great shape, almost totally crack free dash, original headliner, carpets, etc. No low ballers, no stupid low offers, and if you don't know the value of a car like this, don't bother contacting me. This car needs to go to someone who can really appreciate what an original rust free, no accident, 32 year old 3-dr turbo is all about. This car is sure to appreciate, the pictures speak for themselves.

1985 Saab 900S (Posted 5/13/2014) SOLD
Color: Ice Blue Trans: Manual Mileage: 139,335 Price: $2,750
Selling this beautiful 4-door 900S I bought a year and a half ago from the original owner who cared for it very well. I've got all records including window sticker, and I've been taking it to the same mech, Rob at Two Guys From Sweden in Venice, CA. Rob recently installed a new steering rack and gave it an overall check out and thumbs up. No cracks in the dash, headliner in very good condition, heat and A/C work well, though blower warbles on low speed. Stereo and antenna work but occasionally cut off, some connection issue there. Cruise and clock do not work. Interior, very good to excellent. All power windows and locks work , except for the trunk light, all lights work including timed interior light. Sunroof slides easily and latches well. Exterior, very good, with a small dent/paint chip in the driver's side back door and a few nicks/scratches here and there, but again, overall very good. 4 matching Kumho tires with 50% tread. Full price includes 4 extra wheels for your Blizzaks! Thanks, Jim.

1990 Saab Saab 900 Turbo SPG (Posted 5/4/2014) SOLD
Color: Black Trans: Manual Mileage: 176,300 Price: $1,200
This car is fully operational with the exception of; heated seats, rear calipers stick when emergency brake is used but otherwise the rear brakes work, speakers need replacement, and the AC (134a) needs recharging once each spring for the year. The interior is in good condition except for cracks in the dashboard and some of the driver’s seat stitching needs to be redone. There are a few small leaks but I check fluid levels regularly and have not had to add fluids in several months. The tires are in good condition with plenty of tread left. The body work around the rear wheels is in rough shape. It has an aftermarket security system. Even though the car runs well my mechanic has recommended that I not drive it due to rusting of the underbody and suspension. The inspection sticker runs out in June and the car will probably not pass again without some work. Since this car is in good operating condition it would be ideal for many parts and you can drive it home. I am the second owner and I have service records going back to 2001 when I bought it. Owner’s manuals and spare water pump included.
1986 Saab 900 Turbo Hatchback (Posted 5/4/2014) SOLD
Color: Silver Trans: Manual Mileage: 157,xxx Price: $1200
Private eyes are watching you. It's back, the John Oates Saab 16v 900T. Purchased new by John Oates, this survivor was also used a few years ago in a Popular Mechanics article on low-budget interior fixes. The good: It starts, runs and drives reliably. No second-thoughts about long-distance travel. It has a year-old tune-up and a remanufactured mass-airflow sensor, good tires, a tight redone headliner. The blue velour seats are faded, unobtrusively patched and very comfortable. The power windows and manual slider sunroof work fine. The turbo pulls strong and hard. Goes down the road straight at 75mph+. The brakes (including parking brake) work fine. Includes proper Bentley & owner's manuals and some old receipts. The not-so-good: One tiny windshield star, not in line-of-sight. The cruise control and seat heaters are inoperable. A later '91 A/C compressor is included but not installed. The dash is full of cracks, but covered by a custom carpet black dash mat. It has some minor rust spots, and one goofy 4-inch diameter non-structural floorboard hole from an old sunroof leak, long since repaired. This will be Goober-patched prior to sale. The clutch is positive, but engages closer to the floor. No problem for an experienced 900 driver. The ignition key will still lock the shifter in reverse, but a supplemental starter switch is reliably employed. Ironically, it has speakers but currently no audio head-unit installed. The hatch struts are whooped. The bottom line: This car can be brought back to very presentable condition quite easily and cheaply, or driven into the ground over the next 75,000 or so miles. It's worth saving, the rock star and magazine history is fun, and the world will always respect a car you can sleep in comfortably. So Sara, Smile - buy this Turbo hatchback - And Make my Dreams Come True. You-ou.

Baab the Saab runs great, drives well and was taken on a 3000 mile road trip last year without any problems. Sometimes it is finicky about starting due to electrical gremlins.
