1989 Saab 900 SPG Turbo (Posted 1/29/2012)
Color: Edwardian Grey Trans: Manual Mileage: 126K Price: $9,000
This may be the last best example of the breed available today. Cosmetically and mechanically this car is in exceptional condition. Edwardian Grey with Buffalo Grey leather. Approx. 126k miles , no rust, no dents. Only a few very minor scratches. Leather seats are in excellent condition. Small cracks in dash just starting. Carpeting like new. Real carbon fiber dash overlay, “turbo” steering wheel center cap, Saab/VDO gauges (not hooked up), Kenwood CD, powder coated valve cover and turbo intake. Within the last seven thousand miles this car has had the motor pulled and new head gasket, timing chain & tensioner, oil pump cover seal, distributor, steering rack, left half-shaft, alternator, water pump, fuel pump, exhaust, tires. Car rides and drives like the thoroughbred that it is. SPG9 engine management box with a high output fuel pressure regulator and K&N air filter. All accessories work properly including heated seats, cruise and sun roof. Currently needs an odometer (reads 876004… it was turning over 10k at a time until it stopped). Paint is original except the hood has been refinished. I have a lot, but not all, of the maintenance paperwork including a lot from the previous owner. This car was originally purchased at Studio City Saab in California and was purchased from the second owner in Oregon in 2003. More pictures at: 4salebyautotec.webs.com

1993 Saab 900 Hatchback (Posted 1/24/2012)
Color: dark green metallic Trans: Manual Mileage: 116,000 Price: $4200
The holy grail of Classic 900s. The last year of the original, 1993. Turbo hatchback model, with 5 speed manual trans (rebuilt). This car was bought new (in Northern California) by a dear friend who passed away unexpectedly last spring. You will be hard pressed to find another like it. One owner, always garaged, never smoked in, literally driven on weekends, and maintained by a grown woman who loved her SAAB. If you ever drove an early 90s 900 turbo when they were still new cars (tight and fast, without the squeaks, rattles and rickety suspensions found on most classics now) you know how this car feels and drives. Tan leather interior still soft, new headliner, near new dash, CD player. A minor ding or two, but otherwise amazingly smooth body, with shiny dark green metallic paint. All work and maintenance up to date. Additional pics available. Certified SAAB nuts preferred. $4200/or serious offer only. Available for inspection in Berkeley.

1991 Saab 900 SPG Turbo (Posted 1/23/2012)
Color: Talladega Red Trans: Manual Mileage: 135,000 Price: $10,500
Super rare (only 40 made) and RUST FREE, red 1991 SPG--the last and best year for this iconic model. The dark blue-grey buffalo hide interior is in outstanding shape, as it has been protected by seat covers. The engine has no leaks, emits no smoke, and sounds as it should. The transmission has been recently rebuilt. New Yokohama performance tires and aftermarket wheels; short shifter, new windscreen, master cylinder, and exhaust. Engine power has been boosted considerably with an air-to-air intercooler where the AC radiator normally resides (so no AC). Heater works great. The interior has been redone in a red and black plaid cloth (no sagging). This car goes down the road straight and corners flat. Third gear boost is simply awesome!

1984 Saab 900 (Posted 1/4/2012)
Color: red Trans: Manual Mileage: 290,391 Price: $500
Complete and running but has been sitting; for parts or restoration. The good: harmonic damper, coolant hoses, water pump, radiator all almost new. Medium-recent KYB shocks, alloy "soccer ball" EMS wheels. Radiator supports completely rebuilt with new steel. Front seats are in good cosmetic shape, and the driver's seat has had the "sinking seat" fix with the newer-style steel springs and support grid. Exterior paint surprisingly good. Includes spare transmission from an '82 for parts or to use entire. (Requires early-stype valve cover, included.) The bad: transmission *very* balky in reverse. Interior headliner fabric and rear deck gone. Starter solenoid sticky. Whole car fusty with disuse. Rust: some in some of the wheel wells, back end of exhaust shot, leading edge of hood has slight rot. Brakes rusty but seem to work. Clutch hangs up a bit like the slave cylinder isn't retracting all the way.

Good classic Saab with a strong engine and transmission! Vehicle has been my
daily driver and drives very well. Needs some repairs to the mount on right
front shock absorber. Shock absorber is still in working condition, but the
frame mount has wallowed out due to rust. Brake accumulator will need to be
replaced, but doesn't affect the drivability of the car, only the ABS;
conventional brakes work well. Body and interior in decent condition. Car is
sold AS IS; no trades.

1991 Saab 900 Turbo 3 door (Posted 12/23/2011)
Color: Arctic Blue Trans: Manual Mileage: 185,000 Price: $950 OBO
If you are nuts about the classic 900 Turbo and are looking for a short-term project to yield a great driver, consider this car. Dark blue leather is a 8/10--no tears or cracks with one abrasion professionally repaired on the driver's backrest. Headliner was replaced about 6 years ago. Dash has two 1" cracks. Vehicle sat the last 6 months--immediately started after a battery charge, and ran strong. Exhaust is throaty but intact. Rotors are frozen, but will free up with towline encouragement from another vehicle--pads and rotors will need to be replaced, but the car should self-transport a moderate distance. Most everything operates, but some things are sluggish and need attention (electric windows, sunroof.) Has a younger engine (120K) installed by previous owner. Rust on 3 of 4 wheel wells--only the RF is rusted through. Rust on door seams and a couple surface spots, but otherwise solid body and undercarriage. Set of four good snows and a set of 15-spoke alloys are included. Right rear quarter panel is pushed in and should pop out with the appropriate tool. Body trim was removed in preparation for that aforementioned project, but higher priorities win out. More than a parts car, I'd like to see her to go to an appreciative home. Photo is forthcoming.

1993 Saab 900 Turbo Commemorative (Posted 11/21/2011) SOLD
Color: Metallic bronze Trans: Manual Mileage: 110,000 Price: $5,000
CE #70. I'm the 3rd owner and bought the car 10 years ago with 36,000 miles on it. It's my daily driver and has had really good care. Still one of the best looking cars on the road. I get "thumbs-up" from folks all the time. Never wrecked, no rust and the engine is clean enough to eat off of.
This car was repainted Metallic Bronze before delivery. They pulled everything possible off for the paint job so there is little evidence of the repaint. The clear coat on the paint is worn through in a couple of spots and it's got a few very minor dings. I hooked the front bumper on a post when backing out of a parking lot and pulled part of it away from the corner of the car. I've got it wired back in place and it looks pretty good but not perfect. A new bumper, minor body work and a new paint job and it would like like new. The interior does look like new. One small crack in the dash at the speaker grill, new headliner, excellent leather (brown) and carpets.
Mechanically it's strong and reliable. No tranny problems, new clutch at 96,600 miles. No leaks of any kind EXCEPT rear main (belt pulley) seal which needs replacement. Burns no oil. New water pump, idler pulley, and all belts. AC is perfect. Brakes are good. Tires (Dunlop Direzza DZ101 205/55/R15) new on front, 12,000 miles on rears.
No electrical problems except cruise control is hit-and-miss. Original (but repaired) Clarion radio and CD player. New speakers including 6" x 9"s in the rear.
Includes a nice colleciton of misc spare parts, fasteners, etc., orignal floor mats (hardly used) extra front seat skins, extra grille, Bentley shop manual, service records, and orignal leather-bound owner's manual.

1990 Saab 900 (Posted 11/18/2011)
Color: Gray Trans: Automatic Mileage: 100,000 Price: $2900
1990 Saab 900 in great running condition! Automatic trans. Sunroof. I’ve had the car for about 3 years. The total mileage is just over 100 K. I planned on keeping this car and have had lots of work done on it. My goal was to make sure the car was reliable and safe! Runs great. Looks really good. No body damage. Inspected. More importantly, no rust! The paint is “tired” but there is no rust on the body or frame. I have a full list of the work done. This includes new tires. What I’ve not done yet is the rear breaks and if I go several weeks without using the car the battery is flat. I’m asking the price above, which I think is a fair price giving the condition and the work done. I truly believe this is a solid and reliable car. Located in Southern Maine.
