Rare, prime example of an original SPG. Well maintained, joy to drive, highway overtaking occurs in a flash. Everything works (yes, even heated seat, AC and cruise control). Other-Headlight wipe rs are cosmetic only (motors work, just never got to wiring it) Fluids - All fresh this year (Mercedes coolant, amsoil synthetic in gear box, Castrol GTX in engine, Castrol LMA for brakes). I'd love to see this SPG go to a fellow enthusiast. This is the 4th 900 I' ve owned and the best. Reason for selling, bought a 9000 for larger size. Very nice low mileage green saab with tan leather seats and tinted windows. Dash and headliner are perfect. Seats have very minor we ar. No body rust. Suspension is tight and drives like a new car. Windshield has one small chip. The a/c needs a re-charge (compresso r is not froze) and the cruise control is not operating. This car is not perfect, but it is in very nice condition. TRULY SPECTACULAR. Perfect mechanical condition and showroom appearance (only very minor bumper wear). Purchased at 34K miles from dealer as second owner, and then meticulously maintained. No accidents, whatsoever. Absolutely no rust (purchased with premium rust protection and undercoating). ABS, air bag, power windows/locks/sunroof/mirrors. Gleaming original black paint, b eautiful tan leather with almost no wear at all, crack-free dash, and new headliner (flawless factory match). Everything works perfe ctly except seat heaters, sunroof motor, headlight wipers, and tape deck. New (within last 5K miles): brakes, ignition, muffler, tai lpipe, all hoses, belts, bushings. Brand new fuel pump and two tires (2/09). Original owner's manual and all repair records to 1997. Just passed VA inspection. AC needs to be charged but that?~@~Ys about it. Priced to Sell. Scarab Green with Tan interior. New Brakes, New Clutch Cable, Well maintained, Great Winter Car. The car comes with a second set of steel rim mounted Nokian Hakapolita snow tires that have at least 2-3 seasons left on them. This car has been in the family for about 9 years and we have taken good care of it. The body is in good condition but does have a few scratches and dings. Oil has been changed religiously about every 3000 miles, and I have all service records. Car has been regularly serviced and engine does not burn any oil and runs very strong. Most recent repairs include clutch cable. New exhaust and starter in 2008, new battery in 2007, and PS pump in 2006. Replaced most suspension components late in 2004. This car has been our second car and between February 2004 and today has only been driven about 25k miles.

1979 Saab 900EMS. One owner, 60,000 original miles. This car was my mother's car and I then saved it for my daughter. I have all repair slips. I put $4-5K into car in 2006 to prepare it for my daughter. Car was repainted, has 4 new tire s. Exterior is in excellent condition with exception of small squish on bumper. The inside has wear including missing head liner a nd rips in original seats. There are no mechanical issues except a small transmission leak that has been there for years and the me chanic said not to worry about it. Car has A/C but compressor (?) is out and we never fixed that. Car does have salvaged title as in about 2000 someone hit the front panel and the insurance co wanted to total the car due to cost of repairs but as I was saving th e car for my daughter, I said 'no'. Sorry to be sappy but we are looking for a good home for this car, 'Big Red' as she is like a child to us. I can send pictures thro ugh my phone and will soon buy a camera cable to put pictures here.

Rare, unique, Canadian 1988 Saab 900 SPG for sale. 104,000 miles. Engine & turbo boost strong and smooth. Still drives great. 5s p great condition. Hello.This car is my daily driver,it runs very well and drives like new.I have over $7000 in receipts,(in the last 10k miles or less )from the previous owner.New transmission,clutch,head,CV's,radiator,brakes,cat,etc.It needs nothing mechanically,everythig works,no leaks,flawless transmission.This car is very quick.I have three others 900's and none compare to this one.Nice body,no rust, origina l paint,very presentable but it has a few door dings.Nice interior except for the drivers seat and dash.Alpine removable CD player.C A smogged with low emmissions.Cracked windshield. Body in very good shape as is the interior.Cracks on the dash and driver's seat leather stitches separation at the bottom otherwise in excellent condition. This car flys with the power and handling that only a Saab Turbo brings!! The transmission is strong and smooth. This car has been w well cared for and includes all new gaskets and clutch this winter ...so no oil leaks! It has no mechanical issues and the body is in terrific shape with a European Aero package. I have a CD player/radio installed which is not original to the car. It has leather interior and auto windows, locks and sunroof. All working fine. Ultra rare 900S 5 speed 8 valve notchback coupe with sunroof. Black with rose interior. One owner for 23 years. Body in excellent condition with only two small dings, one on each door. Interior in excellent condition, dash cover, console with gauge set includin g Volts, Oil Pressure, Vacuum. New turn signal, blower motor and ignition switch. No tears in the upholstery. Heated seats, cruse control, power locks. A/C blows cold. Sony CD radio, new speakers front and back. Completely rebuilt front end including front b earings, universal joints and boot assemblies, upper and lower ball joints, rotors, calipers and pads. Recent rack and pinion. Rece nt clutch, and slave cylinder. Recent exhaust from manifold back. New rear shocks, and brakes. Motor has new front seal, oil pump seal and harmonic balancer. Master cylinder and clutch master replaced not too long ago. Newer fuel pump and relay. Newer radiator and cooling fan. Refinished rims and new tires with less than 1000 miles. New lower body trim. Four Saabs and one has to go, unfo rtunately. Drives beautifully and after all of these years still doesn~Rt even burn any oil!
'88 SPG with solid body that has no rust at all. It lived most of it's life in the southwest. There's one small dimple on the rear driver side right above the tail light, scratches, and paint is faded on hood and roof. Otherwise this car has some issues and wou ld be a great project for someone with the space and time. I don't have either. The engine smokes and idles high. The wiring harn esses in the engine bay are in bad condition. I've put numerous parts into this car in the past couple months including: radiator, thermostat, temp. sensor, top radiator hoses, front brakes/pads, crankshaft seal, oil pump seal, crankshaft pulley, water pump, belt s, alternator bushings, AIC valve, oil cooler hoses, etc. The transmission shifts fine except for the normal notchiness. It has a red box apc. The interior is OK. The front seats were covered with cheap crappy leather covers by previous owner. Dashboard is th e worst I've ever seen. Like I said, this would be a great project and/or a good body for a rebuild. Email me for more pictures.
I have to part with this baby due to a growing family. I purchased this car in 1999 with 66k. The first two owners were as fanatical as I am with Saabs. The car has been meticulously maintained by only four dedicated Saab mechanics since it rolled off the dealer l ot in 1993 and all of these guys are Saab mechanics recommended by Saabnet.com. I have all service records. The car has been detaile d twice a year and always given synthetic oil. The car runs and drives perfectly. Among the various regular maintenance repairs here are some of the additions that I have done over the years: high performance rear springs that have raised the back end up 2~T, new catalytic converter and muffler, new headliner, new dashboard and instrument panel, refurbished factory stereo and CD/EQ from Saabra dio.com complete with iPod jack, Boston Acoustics front speakers, Sony Xplode rear speakers, Oatmeal Elmo leather completely resewn, new headlights, new windshield, SPG alloys on Bridgestone summer tires, turbo alloys on studded Gilslaved winter tires. In addition to the above, the car comes with an OEM Saab Louvered ~SShadow~T (EXTREMELY RARE!) and a full Yakima roof rack system: wind fairing , ski attachment, rack pads and extras. This car is a 1993 turbo that was originally purchased through Saab diplomatic & military sales. As such, this is not a US speci fication vehicle. The color, ~QRuby Red~R, was not an option on the classic 900 turbo in North America. 1. Saab Engine Tuning Kit (this includes the Red APC). 2. Sports Exhaust System. 3. Rear Spoiler Whale tail. No rust at all. The car has never been in a n accident. All paint is original and in extremely good condition. Whale Tail -The condition is first rate. Headliner- Excellent sha pe. Dashboard-The original dashboard is in perfect condition. Seats Black Leather- The left side of the driver~Rs seat upper side bo lster has a small (3/4~T) hole. The lower portion of the seat looks very good, but would be improved by being re-stuffed by an uphol stery shop. All other seats are perfect. Power Seat Operation - The power seat function are 100% Carpets- These are in very good con dition, with almost no sign of wear, even by the pedals Shifter & Boot - The car shifts like new. The original leather boot is i n excellent condition. The shift knob is cosmetically worn and needs to be replaced. Radio- It has an eclipse CD head unit and a rat her large amplifier in the trunk . Transmission - In perfect operating condition, the car shifts solidly and drops smoothly into eac h gear. Engine-I have records for 3-4K oil change frequency using synthetic oil. Turbo - Excellent. The car has a Rising Rate Fuel P ressure Regulator high and high flow fuel injectors. Suspension - Is very good. Replaced right outer tie rod end in June. Steering - Replaced inner and outer CV boots in June. Drive shaft - Great Shape. Tires - The tires have 21,000 on them. Air Conditioning - AC works great. Just had it recharged in June. Car is extremely strong and quick, turbo boost packs a punch! 212K Edwardian Grey with Buffalo Grey interior. Engine and transmissi on are strong, no leaks. Transmission shifts well. This car was originally from Maine. Body and underbody in good condition, tan Elmo leather interior, power moonroof, windows and dri ver~Rs seat, Alpine CD player, summer tires on stock rims and Kumho winter tires on steel rims. I have all service receipts from the past seven years of ownership plus receipts from the previous owner. The oil and filter have been changed every 4K miles with Mobil 1 and the transmission fluid was changed in November 2008. The car does not burn oil and has never been smoked in. The dash is crac ked, driver~Rs seat needs stitching and the headliner is sagging. Air conditioner needs a belt and charge (converted to R134), passe nger side mirror glass is needed and antenna mast needs replacing. This car still shines and I wish I had the room to keep it. Excellent headliner - only the sunroof panel droops, but doesn't hit your head, front le ather is very good, rear is excellent, dash is very good - only minor cracks. New berber floor mats and extra pair of "winter&q uot; carpet mats. New 8 spoke Saab wheels, new brakes.
1984 Saab 3dr 5speed. Third Owner. I have all the service records fom new. I bought it with 148k several years ago. All of it works nicely and finishes inside and out are great. Paint is beautiful. No cracks, no bubbles, no worn items. No rust...but see for yours elf from my photos I can email. Not driven in winter. It was seen at the 2008 SOC and won concours at the 2006 SOC. Work done when I got it: all fluids, brakes, new cylinder head, new radiator, ignition wires, O2 sensor, A/C conversion, professional headliner, doo r cards, exhaust, all chrome trim, bumpers and grille, professioanlly refurbished Ronals with new center caps. I have decided to hou se only one 900 in my collection due to space. I bought it from the second owner in Michigan who owned it a year after buying it fro m the original owner who was his friend and always kept it garaged, etc.
Black leather seats, original paint, third owner, swapped engine with new rings, plugs, tubing, etc; NEW clutch, right side window m otor, both side view mirrors, grill, and have most receipts. No leaks. Automatic windows and sunroof, all work. The headliner isn't sagging, but rips have been sewn up on the sunroof part. Seats are worn and the dash has some cracks. Original paint, clear coat is peeling in some spots. The exhaust valves need to be replaced which will restore compression to two cylinders. Took it to my mechani c and he ran a compression test with the result #1=150 #2=75 #3=90 #4=150. Swapped engine has 5-7k on it. Currently won't pass Calif ornia smog until exhaust valves are fixed. Runs okay. Also, I have some extra parts including a Red Box APC, switches, and some othe r engine componets. Call or email with any questions. I am the original owner of this 900. It is driven every day and is in wonderful mechanical condition. It has been has been professio nally serviced and has had oil changes at 3000 mi. or sooner. Headliner was replaced last year. Dash has usual cracking. New master cylinder one year ago. Very clean interior - upholstery intact, no smoking. More photos can be supplied on request.
Fully Loaded, 5 spd, Everything works great just put the key in and open the sunroof and drive a way! This car is very clean and wa s owned by a non-smoker, mechanically the car is in great shape was recently serviced, everything works great on the car,.Car has ju st been serviced with new battery, all new fluids, good tires. We are the second owners of this car and have taken great care of it over the years. To be honest, it~Rs been a little babied. Th e navy blue metallic paint looks great, the wheel rims are virtually perfect and aside from some minor wear on the driver seat, the interior looks like it just came out of the factory. Paintwork and body are all original - car has not been in any accidents or coll isions. Has been regularly serviced and the engine has been fed a diet of synthetic oil only. Everything on this car works just the way it should. The 185HP, 200ft.lbs turbo engine is smooth and responsive and returns around 30mpg on the highway. Battery is new, t ires have lots of meat, new ignition pack, clutch cable and the clutch itself a couple of years back. All service records, price a l ittle negotiable.
This was my first Saab that I purchased in 2000 with a newly replaced 6-cyl engine and 50K on it. She has been totally reliable for all of her nearly 10 years with me and continues to run strong. Interior/exterior are in fair condition. Synthetic oil changed ever y 3,500 mi, all regular maintenance religiously performed, recently replaced front brakes (4/08), tires are 5 out of 10, new radio from saabradio.com, and I have all records since I've owned the car. Perfect for a regular commuter or train car. Downsides include slightly loose headliner in two small locations, no A/C, and a short tear on driver's seat seam. Purchased as a project car a few years ago , needed only some minor TLC from a SAAB nut like myself to make it outstanding. MANY new parts including brakes/rotors 4 wheels, n ew gas shocks 4 wheels, 4 new ball joints w/SAAB dealer 4 wheel alignment, 4 new tires, New SAAB factory catalytic converter heat sh ield, SAAB factory SPG "RED BOX" APC control unit. SAAB factory high performance stereo w/CD player and Equalizer. This wondeful car also has a brand new Connolly Leather interior w/perforated center inserts and black piping to match the exterior. Als o includes perforated door panels. Topping off this fine interior is a new headliner and parcel shelf. All original paint w/a few minor scratches and dings to prove it is original. In great shape but with a few problems: Oil pan has a crack from the oil drain hole. Small coolant leak from rear of engine. Air con ditioner has slow leak, needs filling every other year. Otherwise a solid car with a great body, and engine that never fails to star t and run smoothly. Exhaust replaced, head gasket replaced and head rebuilt in 2005. Clutch replaced around 80,000 miles. Rear brak es and rotors replaced at 117,000 miles. No body damage, no accident history. Paint in very nice condition, No significant rust, onl y on small metal pieces just rear of the doors between the doors and rear windows. Mostly a fair weather car, kept in garage for las t 10 years. I~Rve owned this SPG for 11 years, always had it serviced by Troll Motors here in Seattle. Mechanically in very good condition, r uns strong, boost is strong. Received major service (30,000 mile service) in May, 2007. Driven about 1000 miles since. Odometer quit in 2000, I think there~Rs around 240,000 miles on it. Driver~Rs side window motor doesn~Rt work (window is up). Body is straight wi th a few small dents and scrapes, missing some of the chrome bumper strips. Has usual interior issues ~V some small dash cracks, wor n driver~Rs seat, sagging headliner. Email is best. Additional photos on request.

1990 Saab 900 SPG Turbo with 136,183 original miles. I'm the third owner of this west coast daily driver, and I have all the service records. I even have all the original manuals and the original stereo. Car was garage kept for the majority of its life, is rust-fr ee and corners like it's on rails. Shows some wear and tear -- cracked dash, tear in driver's seat leather, some paint oxidation -- but it certainly doesn't look like a 20-year-old-car. I just landed a new job with a better salary, and I'm looking to get something newer. I'd like to see this car go to someone who appreciates it.

This 2 owner California Car, Black with Grey interior has only 93,000 original miles. All scheduled maintenance has been performed f or the last 16 years and I have the complete service history for the last 16 years as well (a 2 inch thick file folder). Vintage 900 hatchback. Body is in good condition - no accidents, no major dents, only one small spot of rust (5 inches) on driver's side wheel well, 4 new tires. Interior very clean, ceiling liner was replaced in 2005 and is clean and tight. Engine runs strong and we drive the car regularly for local errands and weekend car trips. Selling because we got a newer Saab and don't need 2 cars in th e city. Runs great. Original lacquer paint job still shines like new. Everything in working order except odometer! Approx imately 120K Miles. Air conditioning has very slow freon leak (must refill once a year or so). Minor body damage to rear corner on p assenger side.
Beautiful 1990 900 SPG with only 85K miles. Of course it is a hatchback with a 5 speed manual transmission. Car is in excellent, sho wroom condition. One of the few 1985 Saab Turbos I've seen in the greater Phoenix area. The sunroof works perfectly, it has tinted windows, a new ba ttery, new alternator, and new tires. A/C system works, but needs to have a leak fixed and have the coolant recharged. It has live d in Idaho and Arizona and has no rust. Seats and interior have sun damage and headliner is starting to decay.

151K + miles and it runs with full power. The title is clean. Clean inside-lather with some surface time-ware on front seats / back seats looks very good. Everything powered, seats(heated)/sunroof,tires about 80%. I have noticed some smoke out of exhaust, but it r uns and shifts with full power. I bought this brand new in Oct. 1997 and has been a one owner saab since. 86k miles I walk to work so I just dont drive too much. Very reliable I have recently driven from coast to coast with no issues. Well maintained Red 2dr 900se with black interior (my fav. color combo), CD changer in trunk, arm rest between the front seats, sun roof, all power, AC struggles on hot days might need to be charged. Strong everyday driver, in great condition for its age. Needs a small amount of work to keep it going strong for another 150K. New ( in the past 30K miles): Front Brakes, Exhaust, Head Gasket, Radiator, Thermostat, Belts, (rebuilt) Starter, Clutch Assembly, Antenna , Brake Light Switch, Various Front End work: Bearings, Bushings, Ball Joints & Tie Rod Ends. This 1992 Saab has power locks, windows, heated seats, AC, automatic transmission, Blaupunkt radio, cassette, 136,500K original mile s, excellent running condition. Stored for two years. On the road now and inspected. Some surface rust spots. Recent repairs include rebuilt transmission at 130K (cost of $1500), new brakes and rotors, tune up with new coil, four brand new tires, O2 sensor.

Factory rebuilt trans and new clutch at 190k miles. Head gasket at 150k, timing chain and gears and guides and cover andoil pump at 140k, fresh turbo at 170k, aluminum radiator at 180k. It has a 3.8 BAR fuel regulator, juiced APC box, Abbott racing atmospheric dum p valve, K&N open filter, NA intake cam, all metal intercooler, ported exhaust manifold with restrictor removed and many untold performance tweaks. Car has full SPG supension installed- springs, shocks and sway bars at 130k. I'm tired of the typical wiring pro blems common with the 1985 Saab so someone who needs a great complete parts car or someone who dosen't mind tinkering with the wirin g, this is a good deal.

Bought this in '04, w/101k miles, from an elderly gentleman in Greenwich, CT, who was still getting the oil changed at the dealershi p. The odometer stopped at 105k about a year ago, I've gone about 5k miles since, and a sticker in the door jamb indicates that the odo meter was replaced at 19,600, so there's about 130k miles on it now. Includes EIGHT rims: the 4 cu rrently on the car are mounted with Continental ContiProContacts (10/07), 2 are mounted w/snows (at LEAST one season left on them), and 2 are "bare." The good: Our baby has been well maintained, with lots of new parts including head gasket, front brakes, heat shield, coolant sensor and fuel pump all in last few years. Body is good as are tires and paint, brown leather seats in nice shape. A/C and sunroof both w ork well. Transmission shifts smoothly. Burns virtually no oil and purrs like a kitten on the highway. The bad: Will be needing some new parts to keep it going strong for another 124K and I don~Rt have the time to mess with it right now. Has an occasional vibratio n when pulling away from a stop which I~Rm told signifies worn motor mounts, and eventually will need inner driver. Will probably ne ed rear brake job in near future (front was done last year). The ugly (minor stuff): headliner starting to sag and minor cracks on d ash top. Just a bit of bubble rust over r/r fender. Otherwise looks amazingly good for a ~R93.
1990 Saab 900 hatchback with 149,000 miles and clear Florida title. Strong engine (not turbo), new brakes, good tires, has been prof essionally serviced. I am the second owner and I drive it almost daily. The headliner is tacked up and the dash has a few sun cracks , but seat upholstery is good (original blue fabric). It has the factory radio/cassette deck which works. I have owner's manuals for the radio and the car and most service records from myself and from the first owner. Runs well except for a not working AC; also it makes a clicking noise in first gear which does not seem to affect anything (mechanic says a chipped gear tooth). Heated seats wor k but aren't used much here in Florida. Selling because I have to move out of state and don't have a good way to bring it with me.
This car has rust in the front end. I have sadly taken it off the road. Other than that it is a beautiful SPG. This car was running great when I parked it a month ago. This was going to be my 1-million mile Saab. New radiator, distributor, cv joints. Dash has only one crack. Drivers seat shows wear but no rips. Other seating is excellent. A/C and cruise works. We are retiring soon,and moving to sunny Florida so we are downsizing our fleet of 900's.This 88 SPg has been a great runner for the past 8000 miles after receiving an engine transplant.We had a new steering rack put in as well, when the old engine came out.The current engine is a 100,000 miler that was freshened up before it was put in and it runs just great, and doesn't burn any oil.The body is straight,the paint is thin in spots though,there are a couple of parking lot dings,a rust spot above the right front wheel arch ,as well as rust spots on the lower inside door sills.All the spoiler stuff is there,and overall the car looks good for one 20 years old with this kind of mileage.Inside there are no rips in the leather seats,the headliner is in excellent condition,there are a couple of cracks in the dash.The heated seats are not working,and the we found that the sunroof doesn't close properly, so once we got it closed we haven't used it since.This has been a well maintained car,it's a great driver,and I would have no reservations of driving it anywhere at any time.
A real solid 1991 SPG. A lot of work has been done recently. Brand new 2.5 inch stock turbo exhaust, including front pipe. New clutch, full tune up including new plugs, distributor cap/rotor, wires, voltage regulator, fuel filter, oil change and fluids. New power steering hose and pump belt, alternator belts and bushings, ball joints, poly sway bar bushings. Brand new battery, front and side motor mounts, two brand new front tires. The car has a red a.p.c. box, a viggen bypass valve, and a K&N air filter. It pulls very strong. There are clear euro lights on the front, and new Sony rear speakers just installed.
My 5th Saab is this 1992 900T which is in very good condition. I purchased the car in 2003 from another Saab enthusiast in Orlando FL and brought it to Maine. The car has been in a garage since it came to me and only driven in the summer. I have installed: Full Alpine, JL Audio, Boston Acoustic sound system with IPOD connection. The upper DIN houses VDO gauges for boost, voltage and oil pressure. The car has been upgraded to the Swedish Dynamics Red Series Stage 4 APC, Red Series fuel injectors/EPROM and a high pressure BPV. The increased performance is very noticeable with this combination. The car has a new cat back Saab exhaust, new windshield, Michelin Hydroedge tires and new clutch and slave cylinder in the past 12 months. I have many replaced many small parts and have an old set of Saab steel wheels with studded snow tires from my 89 900 that will come with the car. I only drove the car a few days last year and want it to go to another Saab fan that will enjoy having it as much as I have. Serious inquires please.

1985 900 Turbo 4-door. Love this car. Hate to sell, but with #3 due, had to get a mini-van. Tan leather, sunroof, Pioneer stereo with cassette. 320K miles, but the car has been completely rebuilt. Original owner spent $30,000-$40,000 just since 1996 repairing, rebuilding and repainting it. (French~Rs Foreign Car, Irving, TX.) I have kept the car in top running condition (service by East of Sweden, Boulder, CO, who says it is in the best condition of any older model they have ever seen). Engine runs smoothly, brakes are great; turbo runs like a top. New battery, new tires. This 900S is a black two door with a manual transmission and turbo. Within the last 12,000 miles the major work includes rebuilding the engine, the turbo and the transmission. It runs fine but needs a bit of work to correct minor deficiencies. Due to an illness, I can no longer drive my beloved Saab and I would like to find it a new home. If not, and your 900S could use a transplant of the rebuilt components, it will still give me joy that another 900S will continue on down the road.
88' SPG for sale, light mods like 3.0Bar FPR, full 2.5" stainless exhaust with high flow cat(sounds awesome), and upgraded wheels/tires. Also comes with original wheels with 2 season old Michelin X-Ice tires. Stereo upgraded to Sony unit, with factory size Kenwood speakers. Brand new headliner. Dash is cracked, but I have a brand new dash all wrapped up ready for install. Seats in good shape, although a bit dry they are not severely cracked. Oil changed every 3K with Mann filters. Car really doesn't need anything to be driven every day like I've been doing. It's been a great car, but I've upgraded to a Mini. "Darth Vader Edition" 1990 Saab 900 Turbo, 5spd, with Airflow kit (minus wheel flairs), whaletail, side scoops, spg rims, grey leather interior. The paint is amazing for its age, shines up just lovely. Link to more pics below. The bad: turbo is shot, and i mean shot, when it spins it sounds like a box of marbles in a washing machine. as soon as that started the car started smoking out the exhaust a few moments after starting, after a few miles it goes away but i wouldnt want to drive it like this. Tires have seen better days, wheels look good but plan on upgrading to new tires. Car has 230k on it, ac doesnt work as is normal with most saabs, clutch is good, brakes feel good, shifter works as it should. dash has cracks but nothing that is split and ugly like some. aftermarket radio works but needs to be upgraded to something nicer. car has a slight grinding noise when driving it, could be brake rust from sitting for the last few months or could be wheel bearing type noise. two dings in hood, look closely at the pics. Great starting point for an amazing car. If you want a used turbo, Super Aero wheels, used hub/bearing etc let me know ill throw them in cheap, im moving 600 miles away and need to finish getting rid of the 14 cars and piles of parts.
Nice, one owner 1993 900 S. Military edition, purchased overseas and brought to Florida/N.C. for its whole life. NO RUST!! Maintained at dealership or Saab specialty shops (Saaab Store-Tampa, Swedish Garage-Charlotte). Transmission shifts great with no grinding, popping out, etc. Cold AC, retrofitted to 134a. No oil leaks or fluid problems. Heated seat, windows, pwr locks, sunroof, switches, gauges, odometer, lights all work great. Good headliner and seats, but could use a detail. Typical dash cracks. Full records, recent work being headgasket, drive belts, tires, exhaust, CV boots, battery etc. JVC CD player. Idles a bit rough, but never a problem. Somewhat loose steering, slight ps fluid leak. Two dents, scrape on bumper. Could use a new ABS bomb, but still works. Would make it up north no problem! With my new 9-5 Aero, this one has to go. E-mail me with more ?'s. This exterior of this car is in great condition. The engine needs to be replaced and i do not have the resources or money to repair it. Everything was in great working order prior to the engine overheating this summer. The wheels are in good condition and the wheels are relatively new. Wife demands I sell at least one of my SPGs. So, here is my 86 SPG. I have all repair details since NEW. Great rust free NC body. Daily driven and rock solid. It can be driven confidently anywhere. Interior is shot. Headliner is worn out but not sagging. NOT WORKING: clock, AC, odometer. Just put new CV's and bushings on it. Paint fair. Upgrades: 91 SPG springs, 3 bar FPR, modified APC. Car is fast and handles well.
Great car in very good shape for its age. Body is rust free, original paint in very good condition but does have a couple minor dings and one shallow dent in driver~Rs side door. Engine is solid, idles well and shifts flawlessly. Brakes are excellent. Gets about 25mpg. Clean interior- dash has (1) minor crack but otherwise like new. Leather seats in good shape. The headliner was redone by previous owner except for the area at the underside of the sunroof. Sunroof is not working. Has new leather shifter knob and boot. Alloy wheels with recent front tires (10k miles ago)- rears have 70% tread left. AC needs a recharge, SRS light came on recently and right headlight wiper is not functioning. New battery, recent oil change and wiper blades. OEM cassette player with equalizer. Clear Title. NYS inspected. Wish I could hold on to her- but lack of space will not allow.

This car was extensively restored 5 years ago and has been driven approximately 40,000 miles since. I recently bought a new vehicle and unfortunately must part with this one. Mechanically, the car needs very little. It has Abbott Racing springs, a Volvo 240T CIS system, and many suspension and interior parts from an 87 turbo. Cosmetically, it needs a little attention. The car was repainted, but the preparation work was inadequate and some rust has resurfaced. I have a dozen boxes of parts that can go with the car. 1985 900 Turbo 4-door. Slate blue metallic with tan cloth interior. Same owner since July 1986. Recent repairs include new water pump 8/07, new steering rack 10/06, front brakes 10/06. Four new Yokohama H4S tires 10/06, and most recent exhaust system 10/05. Car has been serviced locally by Saab specialist (Petersen Automotive, Skokie, IL) for past eight years. All records available with car going back to July 1986. There's rust in places and the clearcoat finish is coming off the front hood and roof. The dashboard has cracks in several places. All these issues are fairly common for a 20+ year old Saab from the midwest. Car has never been in any accidents and has always been maintained for safety and reliability. Parts car or fixer-upper! *** Engine w/ <100K. *** Brand new Turbocharger (DIC). Transmission: Reverse gear has been entirely stripped, all other gears work perfectly. Rear Engine Mount loose (easy fix). Needs new struts. Needs new brakes. Body is in good shape; only problems are missing front right blinker assembly and cracked passenger side mirror (both due to vandals). CAR IS DRIVEABLE BUT WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION AS-IS. 1997 Saab 900S-20K Original Miles-Silver/Charcoal Grey. I am offering for sale my parent's 1997 Saab 900S 2-door coupe as they have recently purchased a new 9-3 4-door. The car was purchased new at Fitzgerald Saab in Frederick, MD and meticulously maintained at VOB Saab in Rockville, MD over the past 10+ years. It has been used sparingly for trips to the doctor~Rs office, mall, grocery store, etc. with an occasional longer trip to the shore. The car has always been garaged, never driven in the snow, never in any type of accident and detailed twice yearly. There are no mechanical issues at all as, if anything, my parents were overly cautious with the maintenance, replacing or repairing anything that was even remotely suspect. Included with the purchase are all service records showing completed factory recommended services (minor and major services), interval oil changes, the original $27,000 + window sticker, all unmarked books and manuals and three sets of keys and remotes. The car is equipped with an automatic transmission, all power options including sunroof, heated charcoal cloth seats and air conditioning. The interior shows as new with no imperfections as it was never smoked nor eaten in. The silver exterior is close to perfect with two very small (>1 inch) marks on the rear bumper, one very small (>1inch) mark on the front bumper, a small scratch (>2 inch) on the drivers door edge and some minor curb rash on the right front wheel. Also included are two sets (one new) of Saab all-season floor mats with heel pads, a Saab rubber trunk mat and a set of Saab locking wheel bolts with two keys. I am asking $8500.00 or best offer for the car as it is essentially unused and in near perfect shape. This 1995 Saab 900S is in great shape, has been in the family for the past 6-7 years. I have all the service documents, some of the more recent items include a thermostat, a new oil pan, one of the A/C hoses has been replaced and the A/C functions well and it is cold, a new flex pipe in the exhaust, new front brakes about a year or so ago, new rear brakes about 1 1/2 years ago, a new alpine cd player with IPOD connection (I have the old radio if you're interested), New rear and door speakers(SE speaker upgrade), clutch was replaced at 95k miles, and many more maintenance all done by a Saab dealer. The only bad thing is there is a hole in the exhaust in the muffler closest to the rear of the car. Everything works and functions like it should except for the drivers heated seat. I'm looking to sell the car to someone that will appreciate it. The car is extremely clean and sharp looking, there are no blemishes on the interior and one small dent on the rear drivers side corner panel, hardly noticeable. In the pictures I have included the car has rims that will not be included in the purchase, it will be sold with steel wheels and Saab hubcaps. The tires are good they have about 65% tread life.

Hi, I'm selling our 1987 900 Turbo.We are the third owner of this Saab that has lived in Florida it's hole life. My wife has been driving this Saab for the past 5 years and just purchase a new car and we have no room for it now. With 2 Lincolns a pick-up truck and a motorcycle, the Saab has to go. Everything works except the radio and A/C, it also has a dent on the right front fender. Good news, new rack and pinion, clutch, slave and master cylinder, shocks, breaks, C/V axles, tires, fuel pump, ignition module, head liner and no rust anyplace. Other than the dent the exterior and interior are in great shape.
I bought this 1993 900CE in Boston in 2001 where it had always been dealermaintained. I moved to Seattle in 2004. In the last 3 years I have replacedexhaust components, starter, and battery. The power steering hoses were replacedjust over 1 year ago. In the past 6 months the radiator, hoses, thermostat,voltage regulator, and clutch slave cylinder, plugs, Bougicord wires, cap androtor and new tires were installed. The local shop diagnosed the car with a badhead gasket and it also needs a clutch master cylinder. The car is driveable andhas never overheated. I have always used synthetic motor oil in the engine andregularly changed the transmission oil. I've never had any problems with thetransmission. The turbo is quiet and does not burn oil. The car has about178,000 miles.

Car died on highway, and according to the mechanic it has a serious engine problem manifesting itself as low low compression. I cannot afford the money or the time to fix it. Could be used as a parts car, could be used to drop in a motor. Interior/exterior in fair condition, spg trim and wheels in good condition. I also have winter tires on steel wheels if you are interested. Essentially I'm just looking to recover my towing costs and diagnostics. I don't want to part the car out, but if I get no responses in the next week or so, I will consider taking off the wheels before I send it to the junkyard.
I'm the second owner of this car, but I've had it for 13 of its 15 years. It breaks my heart to sell, but I just bought a 9-5 Aero wagon for the room after having my second little girl. Even with the Aero, I miss my classic 900! This car has been exclusively Southern owned, absolutely no rust, and maintained by the best SAAB lovers and afficionados in Atlanta. All services and oil changes performed religiously, records provided upon request. Has tan cloth seats, cosmetically in good condition, except headliner is tacked up, and needs some silver strip trim around the bumpers. Never had a collision. This car still runs impeccably well and has never failed me in reliability. It needs a new A/C compressor and heated seats don't work. I hope to find someone who loves it as much as I have.
What we've got here is a very nice 1990 Saab Turbo Sedan. 136,912 miles, replaced turbo and transmission. The car runs great, fast, the turbo pulls like a champ. Regular oil changes, 3000 miles. The tan leather interior is in great shape. Headliner has no sags (sunroof has a little sag). No cracks on dash. Low miles on the tires. The best car I've ever driven in snow. Body is in good shape over all, minor rust. Spoiler. Sunroof. Lightly driven by my wife, a lot of highway. The bad, nothing major. Muffler needs replacing, nice big hole in it, loud at the moment. Driverside door sticks. A bad wheel speed sensor has the antilock light on. SRS light blinks. Rust as mentioned. Small crack in windshield, it hasn't grown in the years I've owned it. E-brake needs tightening. Female part of passenger seatbelt needs replacing. AC needs charging. Make it your daily driver now or the perfect platform for a project car, could be real slick!
One owner car! This car has been pampered. Just 150k miles, and for its age in excellent condition. Cherry red 16V turbo, 5 speed, tan interior, with sunroof. Six alloy wheel rims. Recent brakes, radiator, exhaust system and catalytic converter. Headliner replaced. Engine runs perfect and does not burn oil. What does it need? A new clutch and transmission. The clutch is the original and squeaks when depressed, and the transmission shifts through the first four gears. Still registered and drivable for local delivery. More pictures available.

Solid body, solid engine ... don't really want to part with it, but just got a new turbo volkswagon and there's no need for extra car. ALL of the extras (A/C, cruise control, heated seats, CD player, trunk latch) are broken. Would be perfect for someone who does their own work. Since I love it so much, I will keep it unless a Saab enthusiast in the area really wants it.
My former daily driver. Upgraded to 88+ front brakes, and a professionally installed 88+ rear axle (no ebrake). Turbo springs all around. It has a factory spoiler, a dealer installed keypad (works fitfully), and Blaupunkt single cd player in lower slot. A-arm rust professionally fixed, and hasn~Rt been an issue. Rust bubble on the drivers side wheel well, and the rear passenger side floor a little rusty due to a drain recall from 1986 that was not done until 250K. Badly oxidized paint. The usual C900 ailments: headliner is down, the dash is cracked, the engine leaks many fluids. It could use a rebuilt steering rack. The engine is tired; the transmission has 170K on a rebuild. Transmission shifts fine, however shudders on acceleration. May be inner drivers, could be the axles. I was going turbo (86 turbo engine/trans in the garage, not included) but no time. As is.

He drove it for a year or so and I bought it for my wife as soon as he said it was for sale. She wants to drive a different car for the winter so it's now for sale here! There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this car. Everything works. It is a fast one (I've owned three) and this is - by far - the fastest. It has one small crack in the dash and the seats look pretty good for twenty years old. There is no rust on this car; it was always garage-kept. It needs nothing. For those of you who know these cars, come take a look at this one and you will see what I mean. I have restored an 86 SPG otherwise I would keep this one. This car has used Mobil 1 since it came out and was always serviced fanatically.

The car runs strong and looks good, but needs some work. I've put off repairs because I've got 3 other cars to maintain and this one just keeps going and going and going. Previous body repair on left front fender needs to be redone, where there's some rust. Hood very slightly bent but closes fine; heat just went out (thermostat?); one headlight wiper motor not working; one fog light lens cracked; needs new spare. Interior in decent condition; one wear point on driver's seat. Can include set of snows on steel rims. Took me almost a year to decide to sell this car, and I have a feeling I'll trade in the wagon for another 900 soon!
Black with tan leather interior. Pirelli P-zero Nero tires. Replaced brakes October 2007. Examined by a Saab specialist at 65k miles - clean bill of health. All maintenance records available. Oil changed every 3k miles. I am the 2nd owner. The car is in excellent condition! The exception is a constant check engine light since I bought the car in 2002. I had this checked out by a Saab dealer and a reputable Saab specialist. The Saab specialist replaced a cracked (evap) hose and could not find any other issues. He equated it to a very very minor sensor reading and determined that it had no impact on the performance of the vehicle. Also, I have some uneven tire wear which may be due to a weak passenger side strut. Handling does not seem to be impaired at all - the car is a great ride!

1997 Saab 900 SE Turbo Coupe Talladega Edition Black with two tone off white and black interior. 115,000 Miles, 5-speed turbo 4-cylinder engine. 9-3 SE side skirts and Talladega front spoiler make this a very sharp car. It is also the most reliable car I have ever owned and everything works great. Just moved to Brooklyn from CT so it still has CT plates. I am selling because it is unnecessary for me to have a car in the city. It does need some minor TLC to make it absolutely perfect. Seller is only owner of this vintage 3-door 1993 Saab 900s. The 5 speed manual transmission was replaced about three years ago and shifts smoothly. Just over 100K miles logged with a very clean tan colored cloth interior. Has the traditional sagging headliner, but pins hold it up nicely. It has power windows, front seat warmers, cassette player, stereo and very generous cargo room. The exterior is in very good condition but has a 3"x1" rust spot on the left rear side; there are no other dents or rust; the clutch was replaced and all 4 tires were replaced within the last 4 years. This car rides very smoothly and securely. Like many Saabs of this era the SRS and ABS lights are on, but the local Saab X-point check confirmed that there are no related problems to these warning lights; Original owner's manual and meticulous maintenance records are included. The back seats fold down for a much roomer cargo area. A terrific car for someone who appreciates the last year of this classic body style. If you love the body style of the vintage Saabs (and, its many quirks) along with its secure ride and reliability then this is a must see. Inspected and passed emissions through July 2008. This is a babied, garaged, no rust, super low mileage 900 Turbo. I call it the "time machine" because it is completely original and in excellent condition. The interior is all stock and mint, the outside has no rust at all, the engine has every hose and wire where it should be and is super clean. This car looks and runs like new! It is so nice to go over bumps and not hear the typical high-mileage squeaks and rattles, to see everything where it should be, this is a rare find. If you are looking to step back in time this is the best stock 900 I have ever seen.
1981 Saab 900 Turbo, 5-speed, green on green, daily driver for the past eleven years where I~Rve rebuilt or replaced most of the mechanical systems (including the motor, transmission, steering rack, exhaust system, etc.). Unfortunately, the body has rust-thru in all four corners, and is probably not worth saving unless you love body and paint work (never wrecked ~V just showing its age). I thought I~Rd put this out on the Saabnet to see if someone was searching for some early classic parts before I pull the good stuff and send the rest to the bone yard. Besides the strong 8V and smooth tranny, the interior panels and carpet are still in great shape and most everything still works (typical problems with the headliner, odometer, AC needs a recharge). The car has the early style underdash and shift console, and still has the original side glass. This one even comes with the original TRX wheels (I~Rll throw in a set of manholes if you~Rd like), owners manual, repair manual, and maintenance records. Actually, I~Rve never seen another avocado green interior. This is the proverbial 'little old ladys' car. Yes the miles are actual. It has sat in a garage most of its life occasionaly being driven. The car was purchased on the east coast, but has lived is SF for more than ten years. There are no signs of rust. The head liner is drooping, but the rest of the interior is intact and working. The car is all original. The AC compressor needs new seals or replacement. The major issue is that reverse syncro has gone out. The car is not being driven, but runs well; strong turbo, was getting 30mpg plus on the highway. I'd like someone who will appreciate this car to come save it from my carport. This car has been ideal high school transportation for my teen aged daughter. Perhaps it would be great for your kids, too? Odometer stopped at 119,xxx. Tight BW automatic transmission, with no slips or jerks. Uses no oil. Minor rust bubbles on side of hood & on gas door. No wheelwell or underbody rust and SOLID floors. Faded red cloth interior & working power windows. No power steering fluid or coolant leaks, just the usual 900c oil drips. AM-FM Cassette with 4 speakers. Manual sunroof. The usual missing headliner and dash cracks, but hey...it's got a dash carpet to cover the cracks and a pair of Porsche 911/ Vanagon folding cup holders. The A/C compressor is intact, spins freely, but the belt is removed. The cat has been replaced with a straight pipe, and it has a new battery & alternator brushes. New hatch stuts. You've already noted the SPG wheels. It also includes a set of four excellent Nokian Hokkapolita snow tires, mounted on steel rims.

Strong running Saab with a lot of life left in her. Over all condition of the car is first-rate for 18 years on the road. Engine runs great with no problems, ticks, or rattles & rides smooth with excellent handling. As is this car will run without hesitation. Everything is functional, even the heated seats. Though some minor things may want to be addressed before to long. Those things include: exhaust (existing exhaust is in place but makes a little noise) and Ignition Key Cylinder (has stuck once but hasn~Rt done it since, the part is about $100 new), headliner is tacked up. Recently added: New shocks front and back, New break pads all around, new rear drivers side break caliper, new break reservoir seals, New o2 sensor, New tires 80-90% life BF Goodrich Traction T/A w/ SPG rims recently added, New fly wheel arm passenger side, new gearbox @ about 80k. Engine, transmission and leather interior is in great shape. It has hasn't been driven for months, but has a newer battery, both CV axles were replaced, heavy duty rear springs by SAS. Windows were professionally tinted. This car does have usual rust over wheels on driver side. It needs exhaust and fuel pump replaced. This car was my daily driver for years until replaced with another 5-speed 900 SPG. This car could be repaired or used for many parts. I will also include(2)extra doors, (1)hood, (1)rear hatch, (1) powered sunroof and set of stock turbo rims. Many extra replacement parts for interior & exterior will be included, such as steering wheels, bumper covers, (2) extra set of low mile springs,etc. to clear out my garage. Still runs strongly, and used it early this summer as daily driver for a while. I have all records since I've owned it (5 years) and some from before. The good: Price. Also, engine runs strong, and haven't got a problem after a head gasket job 5 years ago. No oil consumption. New battery. Tan cloth interior in good shape. Power windows and mirrors. Fairly recently replaced rotors and exhaust parts. The bad: The transmission slips when cold, until engine warms up. Rust on the rim of the rear driver side wheel well. Some underbody rust towards the rear. A/C, cruise control, CD player and FM don't work (AM works). The ugly: cracked dash, and headliner started to sag in a couple of places. Fender-bender in the parking lot dented the trunk lid, but doesn't preclude closing/opening. Clear coat is gone from roof and trunk lid.

This spg is in very good original condition, never painted(except for the hatchback itself), never wrecked. The car has inner door rust, but the rocker panels are excellent(the car has been properly oil undercoated through the years). The car runs and drives well but it a project car. The car needs a headliner, exhaust manifold gaskets, and the thrid gear syncro is going bad. The rest of the transmission is fine, reverse and all the other gears including the pinion is intact. The leather interior is ok but the front seats have some minor tear issues, the dash does have some small cracks, and the passive restraint belts leave something to be desired. Yet when you still take this car down the road she handles properly without any major noises from the front end or suspension system. The spg panels are in excellent shape, along with the rims. The car seems to have been well maintained it just needs a lot of tlc to be good again. You can drive this car home, carfully. It's a great base to start with for a restoration project.
For sale is a true Swedish classic--a 1987 Saab 900 3-door hatchback. 16v, 4-cylinder, 5-speed manual. 170xxx miles. Clear New York title; still have original bill of sale (I'm the second owner). New tires and exhaust in the past 5000 miles, passed NYS inspection with flying colors. The light blue velour interior is clean, save for a small cigarette burn on the back seat. No rust under the doors or rockers; just a couple tiny bubbles on the hood. Drives like a dream; excellent daily driver or restoration candidate. Issues: 1) Headliner fabric is essentially gone; 2) The usual cracks in the dash; 3) No AC belt; not sure if AC motor works or not; 4) Some small tears in the vinyl door pocket. I bought this car for a salvage company and I never understood why it was sent to salvage. This car runs great and has been a reliable set of wheels for me for the past 5 years. Done the regular oil changes and some other maintenance. Needs a headliner, and the sun roof doesn't work well, but the suspension still tight, the tires are in good shape and replaced the ECU. Great runner. Reliable transportation at a great price. Need to sell due to living out of the country. It's been in storage for the past 6 months, but it's ready to go!

New brake master cylinder and front brake disc/pads at 58,000 miles (2001); new front brake calipers at 65,000 miles (2004); four new Dunlop tires at 65,800 miles (2004); new partial exhaust system at 66,100 miles (2005); passed Maryland emissions inspection (covers 2006-2008); new battery at 67,170 miles (2007). Body not rusted but clear coat/paint on hood, roof, and trunk degraded by tree sap. No accidents. Dad bought this Saab when he retired and used it gently. He stopped driving, but it's still running. It would be a good commuter/college car (remember the safety of the Saab "sandwich") or alternatively sacrificed for its low mileage turbo engine and solid body parts.

True SPG in excellent running condition. Everything works as it should, even the AC and cruise. Engine/Trans replaced by Paul Dolmetsch from a '93 vert with under 100K miles, just about everything else replaced or repaired over last two years. This car was garage kept and well maintained. I am the second owner, and only put three thousand miles on it, the rest are original. The car is on its second engine, turbo, and transmission. It has power locks, windows, and side mirrors, heated cloth seats, sunroof, nice rims, new tires, a full size spare, and a donut spare. Needs a new battery, and the transmission needs to be adjusted, but the engine and turbo still work like a dream. The interior is in good shape, the headliner in the back fell down, but the seats are still in near mint condition. The driver seat still feels like new. It was my first car, and I hate to see it go, but I~Rm too big for the car and have to drive an SUV. I have all the paper work from the time the car was bought to present.

This is a GRREEEEEEAAT SPG! The Factory Whale Tail sets off the Talladega Red and the result is as unique as this car itself. Carfax certified this car was correctly maintained. Castrol Synthetic5-30 was used in the engine and Redline in the 5 speed gearbox. The performance reflects the extra care. No apologies for rust or scratches the paint is shiny and glossy. Leather seats are in great shape. Soft with NO holes or tears. The new owner may want to replace the headliner or dash as it has several small cracks. Otherwise she is good to go. This car is ready to be enjoyed and driven anywhere. The last car of this caliber lasted 26 minutes from the time the ad was posted to sale. This is the ONLY Factory SPG Whaletail I~Rve seen. I am selling my 1991 Saab 900 Turbo with 5-speed manual transmission. The mileage is 240k. I'm the second owner and have had it for about five years. The original owner ordered the car with SPG wheels and the factory louvers. I love Saabrina but it IS sixteen years old and I've upgraded to a newer Saab. It's very dependable, always starts and runs great. The A/C blows cold. The cruise works. As with most classic Saabs, the headliner sags and the dash is cracked. There is rust on the front edge of the hood, two spots on the roof, one spot on the driver's door and there are some bubbles on the front passenger wheel well. It leaks oil and needs new tires. The 2nd gear synchro is worn and I think it might need new lower control arm bushings. See web link below for more photos.
This is my rustfree minty Turbo. Garaged since new, No Snow use. It has had ALL Scheduled maintenance since new, even after the pages ran out..I'll get a pic of that. It has been serviced by the same dealer it was purchased from. I drove from Hagerstown to State College,PA several times a week for several years and am now driving everyday from Shepherdstown,WV to Warrenton,VA. There are no problems with it. We have agreed to sell a few items and this is in the agreement. All items work. This has been my favorite car and probably always will be. We have pampered it and it shows.

About 200K miles (Odo, replaced by the previous owner reads 178K). Boost is smooth and strong (holds 1/2 red easy). Super Aero wheels, auxiliary gauges (oil press, boost/vac and air/fuel), Blaupunkt Heidelberg stereo, thummer and MP3 aux cord, tinted windows. In the last year I've replaced the pass side driveshaft/axle, waterpump, radiator, hatchback (replaced rusted one with repainted mint hatch), ball joints and just installed brand new front pads, heater valve, belts and O2 sensor. In my 8 years of ownership I've repaired and upgraded; rebuilt tranny at 104K, new rebuild power steering rack at 150K, 24lb. Injectors, Magacore wires, MSS exhaust, K&N, modded AIC, modded/rewired APC, rear suspension airbags, recent headliner (DIY, but better than nothing), new alternator at 154K, clutch, slave, master and bearings at 155K at fuel pump and lines and timing chain. A/C was removed years ago, but I have all the parts if you want to restore. Leaks a couple drops of oil from rear main (replaced pulley, seal and o-ring about 4 years ago) and has the start of a small dot of rust on the pass front wheel arch. Tires have about one summer left. Hate to part with it, but purchased a 9-5 Aero SW and the dog needs a new knee (TPLO)! Lots of photos available via email.
3 door. Runs strong, but loses ignition when cold and damp. New battery, Bosch coil, cap, rotor and ignition amplifier, NGK plugs and Bougicord wires have been put in to correct the problem without success. Car developed an exhaust leak that is probably in the down pipe or a loose manifold. The good- No noises from the tranny, no shifting problems, gears work fine. Rebuilt clutch slave. New fuel pressure regulator. Exhaust from the converter back in decent shape last February. Tan interior in decent shape. Odometer works. Saab radio works, but hasn't been used in two years. Just got put back in. New brake pads and Balo rotors last summer. The not-so-good- Car has sat since February, but has been started in the meantime. Hood is pretty rusty on the front, rust in one spot in the trunk under antenna. Missing trim piece is in the back seat.
Up for sale is a 1985 Black Saab 900 SPG with under 95k miles. The car is in excellent shape and is rust-free. The front seats are not ripped, but they are covered due to fading. The headliner is new. The dash has been replaced with one that is not cracked. Newer Blaupunkt stereo. Newer tires & brakes. Interior is extremely clean and is in great shape. 1993 SAAB 900S. I am the first and only owner of this 3-door hatchback in red. The 5 speed manual transmission was replaced about three years ago and shifts smoothly. Less than 100K miles logged with a very clean cream colored interior. Has the traditional sagging headliner, but pins hold it up nicely. It has power windows, front seat warmers, cassette player, stereo and very generous cargo room. The exterior is in very good condition but has a 2"x1" rust spot on the left rear side. All major parts have been replaced, including the transmission. This Saab rides very smoothly and securely. Like many Saabs of this era the SRS light is on. 91 Saab SPG - Red, short throw 5 speed, (Last/best year for SPG). 150k mostlyhighway miles. Runs and handles great, excellent interior with new headliner,cold A/C, good cruise, and Yokohama tires. I get 32 mpg highway / 25 mpg cityconsistently. This is a very nice SPG. Only items that keep it from yet being aperfect SPG are some rust on three wheel wells, some scratches on windshield andside windows, and the turbo only spooling up to base boost. This is a one owner Classic 900 -- the last 10 years I have used the car mainly for commuting to work (8 mile round trip) and errands, therefore the low mileage. The car is in great shape: the engine is strong, transmission shifts smoothly, and handles great. There are 3-4 rusts spots on the body, the head gasket is leaking, the a/c doesn't work, the central locking is temperamental. Otherwise, the car is mechanically sound. There are the typical cracks on the top of the dashboard and a seam on the rear seat is torn; otherwise, the interior is in great shape (including original headliner). The original stereo plus cd/equalizer work. Including are a set of snow tires mounted on separate steel rims.
Up for sale is a 1991 SAAB 900 2.1 non turbo with 142K on the odometer. the car has been well cared for, but do not want to keep spending money on repairs. this car was used for a non for profit Christian ministry but is not economical to keep, we need a more reliable car that is less expensive to repair. recent work includes fuel pump and radiator. it currently needs a CPS (crank position sensor) thermostat, upper radiator hose and spark plugs. the shop wanted almost $900 to repair these. The air bag light is also on, not sure what it will take to fix it. Car is a 2 owner only been in rain 10times. Extensive history from original owner who spared no cost in maint. Plulled motor 40K ago to replace all gaskets just for the heck of it. Newer everything, and everything works perfectly. Interior normal wear not great. In the last 30K-New Stereo/spkrs, tires, brakes,shocks, clutch, turbo, distibuter, you name it, all the records on file the guy spent over 20K during th elife of it. It is perfect mech, ice air..So whats wrong with it? Dents on top, hood, back qtrs have scratches to have a nice car you woudl have to repaint the entire thing. This has been a Florida car from 1991-2006. I bought it from the original owners and have only driven it 6K miles. The dash is PERFECT. The velour interior and headliner are in great shape...including the drivers seat which looks and feels like new. There is no rust on this car...it spent its life in Talahassee. The paint is in good shape...not glossy like new, but not faded either. The engine and transmission perform flawlessly. Brakes, belts, ALL fluids, wires, headlight lenses, and hoses all replaced when I bought the car in May 2006. Also Michelen all season tires are new. AC stopped working this summer. This is a great 900 with no stories. I have what appears to be all the receipts/records since new.

Safety check at the saab dealer determined the car to be in excellent condition except for the tires, serpentine belt, washer motor, headlamp relay, and shifter assembly. All replaced. New items include paint, tires, refurb turbo, exhaust pipes/muffler, valve cover gasket, power seat relays, headlamp relay, washer motor, serpentine belt, shifter assembly/knob/boot/reverse lock, antenna, battery, etc, etc. A/C recharged 3000 miles ago. Smog current. Registration good untill 3/08. Runs excellent! No leaks at all. Extremely reliable and fun to drive. The car has a 2.3L non-turbo engine, black exterior, charcoal cloth interior, sunroof, 6 CD changer, bazooka bass subwoofer sound upgrade, original 16in 3 spoke SAAB alloy wheels, remote power locks, and A/C. Also includes a full set of steel wheels with Nokian Hakka Q snow tires good for at least another season. The clutch cable was checked and replaced a year ago and the front springs and struts were replaced this month. Only one line of SID failing, repaired minor rust spots. Overall it has been a very safe, reliable, and useful car. It is unbeatable in the snow with the Nokians installed.

Very well maintained (and well loved), runs like a dream and no repairs needed (records available on request with enough notice). Everything works except A/C (and cruise control intermittantly) - seat heaters, locks, windows, sunroof, etc. Body in good condition with minimal rust (mostly around wheel wells) and leather interior in good shape (except a few cracks in the dash and tacked-up headliner, no surprises there). This is a nice looking 900 Turbo for sale. The interior is in very good shape aside from the seams in the driver's seat separating. Car runs and drives well, but needs some transmission work. Right side bumper extension is missing. Some headlight relay problems also. It shouldn't be too much to get this car in very good working order, I just need the money more than the car right now.

Solid car, runs well, lots of $ invested. Typical cracks in dash, decent headliner, waxed regularly, noteworthy rust under doors, some paint cracking on trunk. Transmission needs rebuild, pops out of second 2nd, 3rd missing, and pops out of 4th occasionally. Still drivable, just on the freeway for two hours last week, cruise is good. Clutch, slave/master cylinder replaced 2 years ago w/ front brakes, front wheel bearings, lower ball joints, e-brake (needs lube). Was in low speed parking lot bump on front left quarter/drivers door behind wheel, repaired. A/C not working. CV joints rebooted + re-greased 2 months ago ($360 job), tuned up w/ Bosch parts, plug wires, Starla exhaust replaced from Turbo back. Front tires practically new, rears need replacement soon. Very nice Alpine CD player with MP3 hook up, Kicker speakers rear, Jensen's front. Clutch/CD player worth the asking price alone, please call for pictures, God Bless.
I really love this car but I'm Saabed out. Work That has been done: New Timing Chain, New Master Cylider, New Wheel Bearings, Super Bright Headlight & fog light bulbs, New Water pump/thermostat, new exhaust,new Battery, new belts, spg chip & wheels. This is a California car with a new headliner no rust & beautiful interior. there are a few blemishes but it is definatly a nice car. I took to mechanic last week to find out the tranny needs the bands adjusted, this transmission was rebuilt about 3/20k ago & I stopped driving it as not to make worse. still registered and inspected. I have spent a lot of time & money on this car & if someone wants to put a little more it will def be a great car. car still runns very well as is it just slips very intermittently when cold in 2nd gear.
1987 Saab 900. Runs great. Good a/c. Well maintained. Slight leak in the steering rack, otherwise it~Rs dry under the car (no engine oil leaks). The paint is very good, except for some fading on the roof and hatch. As is, this is a daily driver. A great car for a high school student with a new license. Also a great candidate for restoration. It even comes with an actual Swedish license plate on the front bumper. I have owned the car since 1988.

Runs great and has been a reliable daily driver since I bought it in 2003. The engine runs smooth and the turbo still works. Averages 24mpg and still gets 30mpg on road trips. I updated the stereo with a Kenwood CD/MP3 player w/ remote and Kenwood speakers. Replaced the headliner, floor mats, and brakes last year. The car has always been regularly maintained by a Saab specialist. The muffler, exhaust pipes, alternator, tie rods, main pulley, belts, tires, and more were replaced within the past few years. Unfortunately, the A/C doesn't work, and it has a couple small rust spots. I got a great deal on a new hybrid and don't have room for two cars, so my Saab must go. Prev. owner (I bought it through saabnet) ad said AC converted to R-134, new transmission, clutch, bearings, CV axel,rear brakes, 175 hp/5500 and 195ft-lbs, Yokohama YK420 tires. It looks like most service records have been passed along. We're the third owner. Moving/downsizing, must sell.
Been a great car as long as I've owned it. Maintained at ABJ in Boston and Swedish in Brooklyn. Before that, dealer maintained in NH. THE GOOD: Rebuilt transmission with 10,000 miles on it. New headliner. Engine in good condition. THE BAD: Body rust on hood and wheel wells. Steering system needs work (shake and pull to the left) before it can be driven. Scraped and dented right rear panel. Usual interior problems (cracked dash and weathered front seats). Haven't had time to work on it. Needs some TLC for restoration or use for parts. Sorry to see it go, but have to make room for the '91 SPG.

This SPG was a daily driver, owned and maintained by a Saab Master tech of 34 years until an unfortunate accident two years ago. I have held onto it because I love the car and intended to get it fixed but I just don~Rt have the extra cash so I must sell it. I prefer to sell it as a whole car because it can be fixed. Prior to the accident it ran and handled beautifully with a newly rebuilt trans. The interior is in good shape. The headliner is NOT sagging but the dash does have some of the usual cracking. The bottom edge on the inside of the driver side door does have rust. The clear coat finish on the roof is peeling and there is one spot on the hood where the clear coat is starting to peel. Scarab green 2 door hatchback with only 45,500 miles. The car was hit while parked during snowstorm and the driver~Rs side door must be completely replaced. There are a few other dings due to city driving. It also needs a new antennae and new tires. Rear exhaust, windshield wiper motor, clutch, and water pump all replaced within the last 8,000 miles. Sunroof, CD player, heated seats, A/C all work. Headliner barely sags and only 2 very small cracks in the dash (less than 1 inch). I bought the car in 2003 from its original owner with only 34,000 miles, and I was planning to sell it due to another baby on the way when it was hit. It is really quite a find. All service records included. It is a great car and needs to be well taken care of.

My beloved 900 must go. I haven't the time or funds to give it the love it needs. This would make an ambitious restoration project, or a GREAT parts car. The Good: Solid Turbo engine, that saw a top end rebuild around 135K. Solid tranny and clutch. Nice alpine AM/FM/CD head unit with an Alpine amp and Blaupunkt component speakers. The leather on the seats is also in great shape. lovingly maintained by the good folks at Viking Automotive. It was also converted from the automatic seat belts to standard manual belts. Nice set of SPG Rims. The Bad: Leaking brake/clutch fluid reservoir. Sunroof motor needs some attention. Usual cracks in the dash, and sagging headliner. The Ugly: Much rust on both front fenders, and on the box frame on the passenger side. Untraceable water leak that causes puddling on the driver side. Passenger side bumper extension fell off (i have it). It is drivable, and comes with it's own set of Bentley, Haynes & Chilton's manuals. Email me for more pics.
I would like to see someone get some use of this before i give it away for a tax receipt. I bought it 3 years ago and it ran well for a good two years. The guy I bought it from put about $4K CAN into it and I have all of those service records. I took it off the road last year when I replaced it with a 93 900 I found on Saabnet. My mechanic said the engine and transmission had either been rebuilt or replaced and i think the tan leather interior was replacement. Anyway, there are lots of good parts in it, or it may be a good project and i dont have the time. If you fancy it, live close enough to Ottawa and want to come and tow it, its yours for the price of the ad. I'll only leave this up for a few weeks and then i am going to consider other options. email is best to get a hold of me.
Here is a unique opportunity to own a part of Saab history. Being offered for sale is a 1989 Saab 900 SPG. this 2 owner 900 turbo is in mint condition having been meticulously cared for by both of its Arizona owners. The paint the interior the engine, everything is in excellent condition. The big plus for this Saab is its history, this 900 was built and utilized by Saab to announce the coming of the 1990 model Saab 900 Turbo SPG. I am including a copy of the original dealers sales brochure as well as some additional print work. The custom interior designed by the factory for this car consists of tasteful red and black accents incorporating the Saab airplane logo on the interior door panels. the shift boot , steering wheel, and center console all are accented with black & red., the yokohama speed rated radials are like new, as far as I know this car needs nothing. The sound system and the engine have both received upgrades. I have never seen another Saab or any SPG like this unique beauty.
Purchased in response to a saabnet classified in 1999, this SPG continues to provide solid, reliable service consistent with the regular care it has received. Includes Euro spec headlights with H4 bulbs, Alpine CD with in-trunk 6-disk changer, rubber trunk mat. Headliner has been replaced; the leather upholstery is intact; the dash includes the typical cracks. Recent work includes a new battery, replaced alternator, sunroof motor. Transmission was replaced in 2005 with one from a low mileage 1991 SPG. Air conditioning and cruise control have lapsed, fan is noisy during cold weather. Offered today is a 1992 900 Turbo Hatchback, black w/brown leather interior. I am the 2nd owner. We've had the car for 8 years and put 70K miles on it- now it has 159K miles. It was my vehicle until my wife went back to work; then it became her daily commute car. Last October, it overheated and blew a head gasket so it's been off the road since then. THE GOOD: Finish is in good condition; Dash is not cracked; Headliner is still intact; All power windows and moonroof works; Black box installed at 70k miles; turbo boosts like a champ! THE BAD: NEEDS A HEAD GASKET- Engine starts and vehicle is driveable; Minor sheetmetal damage on right front wheel well; Gas cap cover broke off (but we still have the cap). "Helga!" First $3000 gets her! She is still looking good except minor rust onthe inside of doors and just starting on hood. I had the hatch replaced due torust just this year. Super clean car and runs like a charm! I've had thefollowing replaced: steering rack, air mass meter, lower ball joints, heatercontrol valve, temperature sensor, used tailgate, outer c/v joints, rotors, LHpower window motor, brake lines, fuel level sender. All new in the year 2000include the following: clutch, master cylinder, Erickson transmission andstruts. I have kept all maintenance receipts since I bought her 6 years ago offof Saabnet! This is a well maintained 900 SE Turbo, hard to find 2door hatchback. Recent upgrades are complete new brakes and rotors, clutch at183000 miles, new motor mount, new heater hoses and radiator hoses, new rearspoiler, new ignition coil pack and new battery.The interior is immacculate with the custom wood grainconsole and dash. No cracks or damage. There is a great stereo with a 5 cdchanger. The car runs perfectly and if you know saabs the mileage is bearlybreaking in the engine. This Saab has brand new Kumho ECSTA ASX tires, a 6 disc CD player, leather seats, a sunroof, plus every extra, including auto memory front seats. It has been very well cared for, regularly serviced, and I have all maintenance records. I~Rm including a Saab roof rack for additional versatility. There are a few minor paint blemishes and one small-medium dent on the driver side passenger door. The leather seats are in good shape but have wear typical of a ~R97 model. Other than this, the car is in very good condition.
Need to find a new home for my SPG. It is my dailey driver with mostly highway miles. The exterior of the car is good with just some typical rust spots over the fender lips and an area on the hood where the clear coat is coming off. The interior is in good shape, headliner is excellent, dash has the typical cracks and the drivers seat needs to be replaced. Mechanically the car is very sound, transmission shifts good and the turbo is smooth. The tires and wheels are in good shape.
1991 Saab 900 2.1 Standard red and Black exterior (hood and truck are black replaced to get rid of rust that was starting to show) Tan interior, runs , just had head completely rebuild and head gasket, water pump, thermostat, and all cooling lines replaced. A/C does not work but all parts are in place, passenger rear caliber sticks if Parking brake is applied brake cable also replaced on same side still needs to be adjusted. Body is in good shape. A good fix it up car or parts vehicle, still registered and driven.

Car does not run due to low compression readings. Engine ran fine and I drove it daily until the engine died. I have been told that the timing chains could have jumped out of alignment or a head gasket blew. I have owned it since about 106k and have put alot of money into it since then, via a local saab mechanic. Body is good, with a couple of dents. Headliner sags, dash has a couple of cracks. Tires great. Recent clarion stereo. Passenger side cv joint clicks. includes a rear window louver with not mounting hardware.Deposit has been taken on this car, sale pending.

I have had this car for a year. I have replaced the front shocks, Turbo oil line, oil cooler lines, lower radiator hose, and have done some front-end work to it. Car has black leather interior, with aftermarket casette/6 disk CD changer in trunk with a single sub w/amp. The mileage is Aprox. because of the famous VDO odometer issues. This a rare 2 door coupe. We got it to make a race car but it is too nice. It is far from mint though. Everything works well, has new: ft brakes, valve corer gasket, plugs and 4 195/60/15 tires. I think this car is best owned by someone handy. It is a 16 valve 5 spd. Trans is a later model. The body does have rust. Left rear upper shock mount has been welded. The exhaust is terrible. Interior is good except headliner.
Standard, 3-door hatchback, citron beige exterior, beige interior. 158K, with many good miles left in it. New battery; all belts replaced last spring. A/C blows cold. 22K miles on Kumho Ecsta tires. Extras: Kenwood cd/radio with upgraded front and rear speakers; Yakima bike & ski rack; Bentley repair manual. Issues: rust around rear wheel wells; periodic rattling due to broken anti-rattle clip in rear brake system (does NOT affect safety); headlight clips broken; SRS computer dead (I have replacement); front seat heating element shot. I bought a Saab wagon for the growing family, but I prefer driving this car~Wgreat feel for the road, visibility, and lots of pep. I~Rll be sorry to see it go.
I have been a Saab owner for 35 years and have owned this Saab since 1994 (second owner). For the last three years I have only driven the car when it snows (infrequent in PA). I have not really needed this car for some time by have been reluctant to sell because it runs so good. Has a current PA inspection valid through April. Well maintained with 3K oil changes (Castrol SynthBlend) and Mann filters, Redline oil in gearbox, 24K coolant changes/flushes (Mercedes Benz coolant) w/82C thermostats, 30K services, 80K water pump replacements, Metal Master pads and occasional caliper replacement. All the usual historic work/replacements like steering rack, Erikson transmission, dash, headliner, heater control valve, heater fan, oil pump seal, timing chain. Recently, new battery, exhaust, ball joints. Hakkapeliitta 1 winters on stock alloys; Michelin MXV4s on Ultra alloys (all good tread), trailer hitch and wiring. Essentially no rust. Faded paint, no AC. Inlcudes extra parts, filters, 14 year stack of Nines magazines, Bentley and Haynes manuals and all service records from 1985. Tires, wheels and hitch alone worth the asking price.
This car is just getting started~WI've broken it in for you at 107K. It's fully-loaded~WA/C, sunroof, anti-lock brakes, alloy wheels, heated driver's seat, Clarion AM/FM CD, etc. Yakima Roof Rack w/windguard. One owner, garaged, non-smoker, impeccably-maintained at SAAB Dealer. All books and service history. Great Condition including brand new tan headliner. Only hiccup is that the last Saab service said cylinder headgasket & distributor is slightly leaking oil and right fog lamp needs to be replaced. I am moving back to NYC and can~Rt afford to keep a car garaged, so I am selling and letting the potenial new owner know what the last SAAB Service results indicated. Sad to be selling, but must sell by January 12.
1989 SAAB 900 Turbo 3 door light brown hatchback, 5 speed, maroon velour interior, 123,000 miles. Good running car, well maintained. Engine is very strong, clutch and all cooling hoses new last year, good headliner, cracked dash, recent complete exhaust, shocks, water pump, wiper linkage pinned and turn signal switch repaired. Sunroof, windows, radio, lights, all work fine, passed NJ state inspection in Oct 2005. Trans is starting to show pinion whine, mostly in 5th gear, and 1-2 synchros aren~Rt great, but reverse is fine and no problems with popping out of any gear. Body is a bit rough, dent on pass rear above taillight, rust starting on both front fenders, but doors are very good. Rattle from rear, maybe hatch? Tires are fair, can negotiate on some spares. Car has offered very very reliable service since Oct 2001, but we just got a 2000 9-3.

1993 Saab 900S Sedan, I am only the third owner and it has low miles. My wife wants a wagon instead so it must go. Has the traditional sagging headliner and the stiching is gone from the drivers seat. Please call for additional info or photos.
I have finally decided to part with my beloved Turbo. This car runs extremely well, and i have used it faithfully as my daily commuter (70+ miles) and has all needed maint, as well as some things done just because I felt it needed it. Everything inc air works, headliner is up and decent. This is a southern car with no rust anywhere, and the paint is is decent shape ex for some spots on the front and rear air dams. Normal dash cracking, and the driver seat back needs new skin. All spares come with the vehicle inc good AMM, and ABS master. The car is on the road, and is drivable for any distance. 16 valve, two door in ok condition. Tan cloth interior, air, power locks. power mirrors, manual sun roof with new seal. New tires. The car has fairly low miles for being a 1986. It runs well and is sturdy. I have not driven it July 2006 as it needs a new muffler and I did not want to replace it. It also needs a new /rebuilt transmission as 4th gear no longer works. I was going to donate it to a non-profit, but I thought that someone might be interested in restoring it or buying it for parts. Please let me know if you are interested.
I have owned this 900 for 7 years. I made a few changes to the original turbo package by adding SPG rims, gauge cluster (needs wiring), and a woodgrain dash from a wrecked 1994 commemorative 900 convertible. I have also replaced many other parts including: Erickson 5-speed transmission (July05), Clutch Kit (July05), Bilstein shocks (May05), (4)Yokahama Tires (Oct05), Cat. converter (Nov06, New Clutch line (Nov06) and new belts (Jan07). Just passed Cal. Smog test (Nov06). Also includes Kenwood 6-disk CD changer, Thule roof racks with fairing and two bike attachments. I hate to part with it but I need a truck for my new job and can't afford both.
I hate to loose an old friend but the time has come to move on. The SPG is the absolue best car I have ever owned. It needs TLC but but still runs well. The odometer stopped at 210,000 so I honestly don't know how many are on her. She has a rebuilt transmission, installed about 25,000 miles ago. Other than that nothing major has ever gone wrong. I have an extra SPG wheel that will go with her.
1991 900S is a one driver / owner since 1993, always garaged. mileage is 200K. Auto Trans. Worked on ONLY by SAAB trained repairman. I have fixed even the smallest things up to this point. Within the last 12 months replaced starter motor, crankshaft pulley, radiator hoses, All 4 ROTORS and pads, replaced orig alloys with recon SPG rims and new rubber. Within last 24 months new front shocks, complete exhaust front to back, radiator. I have probably replaced nearly every part of this car over the last 13 years and have most records to prove it. NO dash cracks ( replaced it with OEM 5 years ago ), interior is all good with no damage, leather is great, carpet, dash, etc.This car accelerates, steers and handles like new. Really hate to sell it. OK...you all know that it leaks oil and antifreeze sometimes. Small area beginning to rust top of wheel well.That's it. NO grinding on the turns, NO squeaking on the brakes, hit the gas and a smoooooth ride at ANY speed. Take it up to 80 mph and NO bumps. Always aligned and balanced. More photos available. Up for sale is a 1989 Saab 900s Turbo with Manual transmission and 69,041 original miles. The water pump went out over a year ago and I have never repaired it, so the new owner will have to trailer the vehicle home. I was hoping to do a complete restoration on the vehicle but I just do not have the time. I have lots of extra interior and exterior parts (too many to list). I have plenty of pictures upon request. I have clear title. I have a driver that could transport the vehicle via trailer almost anywhere for a reasonable fee. I would like to see a true Saab guru get this vehicle and restore it first before I part it out on Ebay. Call for questions.

This is a special Commemorative Addition, #225 of 325 made. My Saab mechanic tells me it's in great mechanical shape, body is very good (a few very minor blemishes) and free of rust. This rocket is ready to launch.
