Bosch:

Been in the same situation myself with some pretty exotic cars in isolated areas. You've gotta be innovative.
If you don't have your laptop with you get to a library with internet terminals. Call up the Bosch site and you can search for all their components in your car. Curiously the number for the transistor ignition control unit for you're car is different from the number you indicate. Next, find a bosch representative in LV who has a bosch crossrefence index. If they can't help, call Bosch directly and explain the situation. This will give you all the cars which use the same component. Get as many different car types/models/ years/ engine displacement etc. as you can which will increase the probability of finding the part. It is unlikely that Saab had bosch manufacture a unique part although anything is possible. Armed with a number of more common cars/models/years which use the same part, head for a good parts house or car dealer, if the Bosch dealer is out.
I've found a number of Bosch components which are identical to saab's made for fords etc which have same fit and function. Often at a much lower price. Ie oxygen sensor for saab, $180, for ford $40. Both are identical in fit and function.
Good luck
