Actually I would think this is one of the obvious places for a UK buyer to buy a car, as the *pre-tax* cost of cars here is one of the lowest in the EU. Unfortunately our goverment slaps a wonderful tax called Vehicle Registration Tax on all cars sold so for residents of the ROI it's very expensive to buy cars....
