Well, that explains my findings just today: use the fader to send more signal to the rear and less to the door speakers, and it is markedly better. Neutraling out the fader causes the door speakers to rattle like a freak'in paper bag. Sheesh.
I never would have guessed it is a) software controlled (other then the menu functions) and b) locked down.
