Has anyone else had problems with the service at Zumbach motors in manhattan? I was in a car accident and needed to bring it there since the body shop at the Saab dealership in brooklyn is closed for a couple of months(i work in manhattan so its not that bad). Very poor communication, unanswered messages, unable to get in contact with anyone during the week and a half they had my car. When i went to pick it up yesterday(i had to call THEM to ask if it was done, and they said "oh yeah its finished when do you want to pick it up?"), the hood was obviously crooked and misaligned, with the small dent repaired but not perfectly curved like the other side(how could they not have inspected it b4 me coming?)The other damage seems to be done up to par. I also wanted other things done in service, like Tech II changes, which werent done b4 they said they didnt have the list of changes i had told the service guy to write down when i dropped it off. They never called me to ask me what i wanted done. Considering the insurance of the person who crashed into me is paying $4000, i would expect better body work--My 05 93 is only 3 months old(lease) and i would like to have it as good as new. In addition, does anyone know if something is refurbished on a leased car(my hood) will that effect my turn in at lease end? Even if it is done by Saab? If it does i would think the insurance should pay for a total hood replacement. This is the last time i will be bringing it in to Zumbach(and thats where i purchased my car)...every time i am there, its about 30 cars deep (audis and saabs everywhere), its like directing planes in and out of a runway. Anyone else have issues like these there?
