Visited delearship today and thoroughly enjoyed test drives of the SportCombi. Very impressed. Frankly, I prefer the 2.0T -- the engine's performance is inspired and it just feels more like a Saab than the Aero. The 2.0T also had the premium package, so it was close to the Aero in appointments. Too bad the park assist isn't a stand alone option -- it's only on the Touring package, and that's reserved for the Aero. The SportCombi is a very nice package overall and I think very competitive with others in the market -- certainly by price. Interior room was impressive -- a bit bigger than my 325iT. Seats between the two are slightly different in look and feel -- a bit more bolstering in the Aero, but the 2.0T seats were fine. Nice to have the aux connect for an Ipod.
Interesting that the turn signals flash (I think) when you activate the door switch for the hatch.

My salesman agrees with the 2.0T vs. the Aero -- he said it simply feels more like a traditional Saab (he drives a 9-5 Aero, which also was my former Saab, in wagon form). He said they're moving pretty fast off the lot. Two had sold signs in them.

Bravo Saab...this is one nice car that may end up in my drive some day.
