I posted prices in mid-December, for a 9-3SC optioned the way my wife wants, showing the comparison. The Employee price on options is better than the Euro Deliv prices, so a heavily optioned car may be cheaper on Employee plan. A lighter optioned car will be cheaper on Euro Delivery plan.
The comparison reflects the $500 Rebate that was available in December, it has since been increased to $1,000, but might disappear completely by time of delivery for any custom ordered car. Rebates DO NOT apply to Euro Delivery vehicles. The comparison does not include the $500 Loyalty bonus for Euro Delivery that Mike Lynch mentioned.
Airfare can be cheaper than my number of $720 per person. Use of frequent flyer miles, and/or Ryan Air once in Europe (London to Gothenberg for $0.02 USD!), can drop the flight cost considerably.
Unfortunately, the perfect columns I so carefully crafted when typing the data into the message box completely disappeared - making reading the cost numbers slightly difficult.
You may have trouble finding a Dealer familiar with Euro Delivery. I went to three Detroit area Dealers before I found one who has processed an Euro Delivery order! Luckily they have one "Expert" with multiple order experience who actively encourages the participation of other salespeople in these transactions for the purpose of cross-training the entire staff. The other two stores have NEVER done an Euro Delivery sale.
