Tracked down a beautiful sliver/gray 2003 9-3 "Linear" 5sp, spoiler, 17in' wheels, automatic climate control, moon roof, HIDs.

I say "Linear" because I didn't know the above options were available on the Linear models. The car is off lease from California (I am in MPLS). I kind of remember there being a "launch" package that had some goodies on it...is it indeed a Linear?

The dealer is offering me a trade worth what I paid for the 9-2x. Meaning for the past nine months I drove for free. I will end up with about 1,300 cash back if I do the trade.

But is it wise? The car has 35k miles, it appears to be really clean, carfax came back fine, the dealer is pulling maint./warranty/repair work for me.

What are some things to look for?

I had the car for an hour and it really made me miss my 00 9-3. However, the shifter seemed sloppy and vague compared to the 9-2x. The suspension couldn't touch my 9-2x (I have the JDM STI Wagon springs, upgraded rear sway, rear strut bar, helix endlinks). The tires on the 9-3 are Yoko AVS (EVS?) and they are NOISY! Really going to miss the AWD, and don't tell me that with snow tires the 9-3 would be better...because my 9.2 has AWD and snows, might as well be a 4 seat snowmobile--thing was KNARLY in the snow.

Any advice would be helpful.

Perks:
Better gas mileage
Superior interior
Lower insurance

Losing:
Handling
AWD
Cargo capacity
only has 12 more months of Saab warranty
