The car is reliable, I have had minimal issues with it. But there are definitely more reliable cars out there that probably have a lower operating cost. Saab's are expensive and quirky, they cost lots of $ to fix if you are out of warranty.


That being said, I find the ratio at which things go wrong is more than sufficient for the amount I enjoy and love driving my car. I have had my particular '03 Vector for a year and a half and I have only had small things go wrong, luckily. I had it towed once when it kept stalling and sounded poor. But otherwise it has been a joy to drive.

I would'nt worry so much about CR, as others have said they are biased, the car will break down and be expensive to repair like any European car, (VW, Audi, BMW, etc...). If you want full reliability, Toyota will drive you for 1000's of miles, but it just isn't the same :)
