I came to the 9-3 test drive after testing both the rwd bmw 325, and the front wheel drive Accura TSX and VW Passat. The 325 clearly has the heaviest steering but the TSX is not far behind. The Passat steering is heavier than the 9-3, but not by much. The lightness of the 9-3 steering was particularly striking after the other test drives. I did not dislike it but have in the past always admired the bmw weightiness. Such light steering is a new concept to me and I wonder if I will still like it after more time with it. I do not race but do pay attention to high speed steering accuracy and overall stability. (Do you think there is a significant difference here between 2.0T and Aero?)
Your comparative comments on VW/Audi handling vs Saab are new to me and interesting.
