9-3 Arc Temp gauge on SID and AC failure

Last week my outside temperature gauge started reading bizarre temps. Anywhere from -2 F to 85 F, all in a 20 min commute. Unfortunately this is continuing. At the same time my AC is not working. It will intermittently blow warm and sometimes cold air with no rhyme or reason. One day it blew hot air like I had the heater on.
Please help.
