I'm a bit confused about the question. If you can get into the car via the driver's door, can't you just use the trunk button in the door to open the trunk?
If you are asking if there is a Tech II setting to have the trunk lid button active when the doors are unlocked then yes, it can be done. However, it doesn't work as well as I would like it to. I would like the trunk lid button to be active _anytime_ the car is unlocked but it seems to only work when you exit the car. For example, I would like to be able to walk up to a locked car, unlock it, and open the trunk w/ the lid button (such as moving items from the back seat to the trunk and the key is in my pocket). The above situation requires me to use the key or the driver's door button to open the trunk. Basically, the lid button it still somewhat useless as it only works part of the time. I'm not sure if there are other Tech II settings for the lid button that will make it _fully_ active or not.
