Alignment Needed after New Tires Installed?

Does my 9-3 Arc need an alignment just because a set of four new tires was installed, even though there appear to be no problems with uneven tire wear or the car's tracking?
I just replaced the original Pirelli P6 all seasons with the same at 33,000 miles, because tread overall was pretty low. The original tires seemed to have worn evenly, and the car has always tracked perfectly, doesn't pull to left or right. I declined an alignment from the tire dealer, thinking they were "upselling." But my dealer recommended an alignment as a matter of course after installing new tires.
Thanks for your input.
